They can't even do Theater right. One of my best friends past away earlier this year and I can't even watch our last few matches we played together anymore, because with every update to MCC the Theater files from previous versions just don't work. It's just a black screen and kicks you back to the menu. Miss you buddy, sad I can't watch our game on Waterfall anymore.

I am so sorry to hear that… You have my heartfelt condolences. Losing a best friend is profoundly painful. I can only imagine the heartache you've experienced; it's honestly deeply upsetting. If you don’t mind, I want to share this because people need to know what 343 has done. There’s been a lot more harm than we even realize, and I want to do whatever I can to help stop that.

@@LBBubba Thank you. It's honestly the biggest form of loss I've experienced in my life so far and I miss him greatly. After it happened I quickly backed up our last few games, hoping it would be something I can always look back on. A few weeks ago I found out that I'm no longer able to view them, and after some searching I discovered that they mention this will happen on the Halo Waypoint Support site and recommend that you record your favorite moments somehow. But you won't know that until you've already lost the ability to watch them and started searching as to why. I was however lucky enough to have taken a screenshot of his Spartan at some point, so at the very least I have something. Yes of course you can share this.

You should probably get in contact with the modding community, they could probably extract those demo files. This isn't 343's fault, like this is the result of how bungie coded their games.

@@TaylorBroussardShowI have the files, they just can’t be viewed in the current version of MCC. I also tried searching to see if there was a mod that allows you to see past theater films on newer versions of MCC, but I unfortunately had no luck there. I also made a post on the halo subreddit asking if anyone knew how to fix the issue, but the only reply I got was someone telling me there’s nothing that can be done. Do you have an idea as to where I can try to get in contact with members from the modding community? I’d imagine this is somehow fixable, at the very least by downgrading my game version somehow. As for it not being 343s fault, you’re probably right there. I don’t remember if I ever had my theater files made useless back when I played halo 3 and reach as a kid, but it’s possible and in that case I’d like to retract what I said. A lot of people (me included) seem to forget that 343 gave us MCC on PC and for that I’m very grateful.

I still find it funny how much Bungie is idolized. Halo was Halo in equal parts Bungie designing and Microsoft keeping them straight. Destiny just proves that Bungie isn't that great when left too their own devices.

I already hated 343 but this just sends that knife right home to my poor nostalgic heart, I sorta had hope through Halo 4 but after that its just been a never ending supply of BS with these new fans who had never played previous titles defending these green devs who dont even want to work on the game. How is this the timeline we wound up in out of all the possibilities, they had to do almost nothing with the formula and it would have continued to crush.
