absolutely Pretentious!! All the storylines are just cue cards for show runner interviews; because they get to explain what was going on in their heads when THEY were thinking about a particul scene, and rightly so because after watching the entire 2 seasons I still dont know what the fuck it was about. ITS SO MEANINGLESS!!! The scenes are just set up to get to a "shot" they thought would look cool: those two fucking dummies, and all the other dummies running around with them.

Amit ji she originally recorded this songs around 1983 or 1984 but came in records and cassettes in 1993 shes one of a kind i listen to her when i was about 13 years old in fiji islands in radio including her another hit song gulshan ki baharon mein .amazing beautiful singer shes living in toronto canada where i live now but meri baskismati kabhi mila nahi madam musarat nazir se warna bahuth taarif karta.

Jesus come off it already. I didnt watch the show because of the noxious fan base. Then i watched it and actually enjoyed it. You puritan nerds that demand things to be exact need to stop watch and stop talking about it. Folk songs are folk because they don't have any particular lyricist. The originate from a collective. It got big popularity and set lyrics when Mussarrat Nazir sang it on the radio/TV. Other than that there are many versions of any folk song.

Arguably, this is one of the gems as far as Hindi film music is concerned. With legends like Burman da, Hrishi da, Lata, Rafi, Majrooh, Jaya and Amitabh at their best, it’s an outstanding piece. Personally, I think film songs are best looked at as an album and every song in this film was excellent. This is a very rare album to have such amazing music in every song. The only thing that makes me wonder is while Lata sang all the songs for female lead to make a distinct sound, the composer used 3 different singer for the male lead. This baffles me because Amitabh portrays a character who is a singer by profession but, yet was given Kishore, Rafi and Manhar to sing for him. I don’t think anyone will mind that and I think this movie was one of the best works of Hrishi Da. The dept in character of both the lead actors and range of emotions shown was so complex that was hardly explored before. Jaya managed to give the best performance of her career in the process leaving Amitabh far behind in the film and also winning the Filmfare award for best actress. Very deservingly, Burman da got Filmfare award for best music.

One reason I read for Kishore being brought on to sing for the film originally was that Hrishi Da wanted someone who was not as skilled technically as Lata Ji, as is reflected in the film between Subhir and Uma. When he left the film, it left a bit of a mess behind that needed to filled by committee.
