"la marseillaise" is such a powerful song, it is uncompromising, it vibrates the history of a nation which has always been at the crossroads, without weakness, the Marseillaise is a witness to French history... I like it very much!

Hello, thank you for this video, as a French person I would like to recommend another revolutionary song "le chant du départ" and "le chant des partisans" who is the song of the French resistance fighters during the German occupation during the Second World War

Hi Gabin, thank you for the kind words! Those are both wonderful songs... I particularly enjoyed "Le Chant du Partisans" as I found it to be very moving, especially given the history of the resistance movement. Maybe we can add National Songs to the series in the future and do this one sometime. Thanks for the idea, and thank you even more for watching and supporting our channel!

Born English, to English father and Irish mother. Now living in Australia. My ancestors came from France, fathers side fleeing religious persecution. I am proud of my English and Irish heritage, love my adoptive country Australia. Proud of my French ancestors. It is good to belong to lots of places and history. Makes people interesting and should be celebrated. 😊 This anthem is great to hear. Have heard it sung at rugby matches with gusto.
