How come some times you can turn on points but sometimes you cant? It seems to be when something is a "surface" you can turn on points, but when it is a "polysurface" you cant. What is the difference between a polysurface and a surface? And if you have an object you cant turn points on, is there a way to convert it into a surface so you can? I did a sweep 2 on something yesterday and in one instance it turned into a surface, but when I performed sweep 2 in another instance on something else, it turned it into a polysurface, so I was not able to edit points and got stuck. Sorry for the long question!

I will upload a video on the differences between polysurface and a nurbs surface to try to explain it a little better. But basically, a polysurface is made up of more than one nurbs surfaces. A nurbs surface is one single surface which you are able to turn on points for editing. You can explode a polysurface and merge the surfaces together to make a nurbs surface and then turn on points for editing. Polycurves will give you a polysurface because the curves are made up of more than one curve joined together which some profile curves are made of. You can rebuild those curves which will change the polycurve into a nurbs curve. Difficult to explain with text so maybe the video will offer a little better explanation for you. So please be watching for the upload.

I just uploaded a video on Nurbs and Polysurfaces and how to convert to be able to maintain shape and edit points. I hope it will help you. If you have further questions, please let me know.

Can anyone tell me why my rectangles turn into ellipses after I draw my fourth point?
@donsjewelrymakingandjapantrave21 сағат бұрын
More than likely you have the view set at smooth instead of box mode. If you click on the cone shape on the far right, you can switch from box mode to smooth mode.

You can click on any of the cog wheels and go to preferences and click on troubleshooting and just reset User Interface. That should take you back to all the defaults.

I made this video complete. But there is a problem. If you smartflow the design, then make intersection its ok. You get a closed polysurface. Then mirror that also ok. You get two pieces of closed polysurface. Then boolean them the result is open polysurface. I analysed it. In the middle of the two pieces where you booelean them is by one side an opening. How do we have to solve this?

What's the easiest way to find your job bogs?
@donsjewelrymakingandjapantrave28 күн бұрын
They should be on the side bar. If not, you can click on the M at the top left, it will give you two drop down menus. click on view and it will give you a list of all the side bar items you can have displayed. Find the one that says projects and make sure it has a checkmark. It then will be displayed in the side bar. It will have your job bags and full saves as well as a folder icon that you can click to see a list of all your saved items and projects. You can also access your collections from that folder icon.
