Hi Don! Big fan of your videos! I just got MatrixGold after using Matrix8 and Matrix9 for 7 years. It's been a rough transition. My biggest hurdle has been mesh repair. Every time I export the mesh as an STL, it says that the file is 25MB! That's insane and sadly, no one can print these files for manufacturing. I've tried everything, I can't get my STLs to get below 5MB without looking like a jagged rock. Any tips would be extremely appreciated. Thanks again!

Is the design really detailed? First try the purge command. It won't make it that much smaller, but it may help some. Next, if the item is a closed polysurface meaning everything is all Boolean union together I would try just saving it as an stl file straight from matrixgold without doing a mesh repair. That should make it a lot smaller. I would also try if it is all Boolean together using the mesh command. You can lower the face count and do a preview of it before you finalize the command. This should lower it a little more as well. I would try these first and let me know if it helps any. Then we can dive deeper into it if it's not helping. Oh, and yes it was a struggle for me as well for about 3 or 4 months. Stick with it you will love all the new things you are able to do. Just takes time as I know you are aware of from starting with the older Matrix programs. To tell you the truth I try not to use the mesh repair command that much. Sometimes it is very helpful though. As always, I would save the original model before starting all the processes just in case. lol
