Isn’t it true that the damper won’t fit the fan housing if it’s upside down?
@chadshriver2952
@chadshriver2952 Ай бұрын
Here’s an idea. Make that trim ring an inch or two wider so it can cover existing holes that are too large and aren’t tailor made to fit your housing for the video.

Found the same model already installed in my newly bought house in ontario. Looks like they did connections to regular light switch which Everyone have in homes. So after turning on my light with that switch I do see blue light n connecta with my fon but IDK why the fan doesn't work n also there is only one regular switch in my bathroom confused hoe to turn that fan on. Any suggestions

Honestly as a electrician it’s rare to see them this easy usually the bracket it on the bottom of the stud not the side like this so near impossible to remove it without damaging sheet rock

It also comes with brackets, which I need, but neither the printed instructions nor the video show how to use them. The hole in my ceiling is slightly larger than this fan and now I'm stuck rebuilding the whole thing.

The 90 degree solid duct elbow is no good, but the flexible ducting you attach the adapter to is just fine? That stuff gets crinkled up into all kinds of weird shapes and is going to cause the same air flow problems that too many solid elbows can cause. In fact, it will likely be worse due to the turbulence caused by the ribbed/non-smooth interior. Solid ducting is recommended for all exhaust fans: bathrooms, kitchen range hoods and dryers. You should never be using flexible ducting if you can help it.

Hi, I have a question about the Revent fan installation. Is it possible to mount it on a joist? My existing opening on the ceiling is adjacent to the wood.

It's not as powerful as I thought it would be, but it works very well. kzbin.infoUgkxGjG43--gYqIoT4Xkur2PqCrtbKwTv2h6 There are three options to circulate air, and best of all a remote control for us lazy people. Installation was a breeze (no pun intended). It actually took longer to open the box then it did putting the side extenders on and sitting it in the window opening. It's a perfect alternative when you want airflow, but not the AC. Just might order another one for a different room. UPDATE: Bought another one like I said. They work great. Why not have two...

@algallego

I should call the video producer and tell them to come setup my fan old fan in that EXACT configuration, so my change out will go just as smoothly so I, too, can only take 59 seconds, rather than an additional day or two of work. I have no idea what's waiting for me in that area of the attic crawl space... a whole lot of blown in installation, central air HVAC ducts, Romex wire runs, joist straps-- God knows what else!

This is really useless. I have a 40 year old bathroom exhaust and I cannot see how it is removed. Frankly, all I want to do is remove the cover so I can repaint the bathroom. There is no clip that I see on the exhaust fan casing. There are no screws. There is (at least to me) nothing obvious to remove. Sure, I can yank on it, and see what happens, but most likely I will just break and have to get a new bathroom exhaust fan whether I need one or not. So sure, this post may help you if there is this is obvious clip this video refers to. But if there is no clip, this video is useless.

@@Oh-ou4lp Not only that, they forget the orientation of the exhaust pipe possibly being on a different side of the housing of the fan you've purchased and having to match that up by turning the housing 180° with the likelihood of having to mount the fan with housing on a parallel joist. Also, you have to cut a new opening and patch a hole closed from the old fan opening--- pain in the behind!!!!!!
