Less 3 and D (who can't really hit 3's consistently, looking at you, Yerro) eating up Mantua/Montebon/Errolon's minutes Expect OJ to play his heart out from now on. The FSA of Adamson playing in team B looked liked he has an offensive game albeit smaller than OJ. And to add ro the drama of UE vs AdU. After that, half-breed pangilinan came in and bought, i mean brought in outsiders like lipa, and other recruits/half-breeds like alvarez, tenorio etc. To the chagrin of inept pure-bred, puritans, who complained why "big money" was being spent to revitalize the team🤣 The rest is history. And history has likewise repeated with amos going to dlsu. Lets see if pangilinan and his lieutenants still have it in them to revive the team. Esp with bigger bilyonaryos having joined the fray (razon, robina, smc). That's why admu no longer dominates the recruitment wars as well

The al Hussaini, Slaughter, Kouame role. Tapos walang naiwan na ka-level ni Belangel o Nieto man lang, sama mo na si he-whose-name-cannot-be-mentioned na namamayagpag ngayon sa UST. I would have wanted Ateneo to end the season with a win as a send off to 2 seniors playing their last game with a standing same as NU and FEU but it did not happen. Mr. Jack S was seen watching the game live. I have also wished the end of UE's agony. Sadly, lady luck was not on UE's side with the recent win by UP and the loss of Ateneo. But salute to Adamson for fighting for their life and succeeded. Ang galing ni Mantua kahit naggraduate siya bago natapos laro. Could have been devastating for Calisay if Adamson lost. It was supposed to be his last game it they lost if I heard it right. What are your thoughts on the 2 technical fouls. Was he really taunting (you confirmed pala) coz on the replay I just saw him reacting on the ref's call. At the end of the day, the fans are in for a treat with the UE vs Adamson battle for tue 4th spot on Nov 27 under the watch of DLSU. Btw, is the semis likely to be held this coming weekend?

While I’d love to see UE end their 15-year Final Four drought, I’m also excited to see what Adamson can bring if they prevail in the playoffs against UE. If Adamson can replicate the level of gameplay they showed against Ateneo, they have a strong chance to redeem themselves and give DLSU the kind of battle we’ve all been hoping for in the Final Four matchup. It’s been years or decades perhaps since we’ve seen intense Final Four battles. Those kind of matchups where the top-seeded teams nearly lose their shot at the finals, with the third and fourth seeds becoming serious threats and giving them a tough challenge.

I agree with all your points regarding Ateneo's season. A passing grade due to low expectations. Koon not being able to take the cudgels of being the alpha. Quitevis' offensive ineptitude. Offensive eye sores game after game. Coach Tab still being the best tactician, and the need for him to stay. It was a difficult season for the most die hard Ateneo fans, but you guys are right, this was bound to happen. Losing so many players year after year due to graduation, transfers, injury, and early declarations for the pros eventually took its toll. Let's all remember that this team was supposed to have Amos, Ballungay, Chiu, Brown, Gomez, and Nieto (not sure about Credo) in this year's lineup. With the huge disparity between UP and La Salle with the 6 other teams, that supposed lineup would have easily made the final 4. But that wasn't in the cards and the result is a gut wrenching last place finish that I, who has followed the Blue Eagles for 36 years, who has witnessed ALL Ateneo championships (from Jun Reyes and Danny Franciaco, to Enrico, to Norman Black's 5-peat, and finally to Tab's 4 championships in 5 years, have never experienced before. And to be honest, the reason was very simple. More than the team's youth and inexperience, it was the lack of capable bigs that did us in. Let's all remember that 3 out of our 4 wins were against teams thatbdid not have an FSA for that game (NU, UST, UE) and the 4th was against a team who do not rely on their FSA for offense all that much (Adamson, 1st rd). The reason why it was so hard for Ateneo to generate any offense is because all the other teams just merely focused their defense on the perimeter. It is so easy to blitz and apply pressure when there is zero offensive inside presence to worry about. Offensively, it was so easy for the other teams to drive at will, score off putbacks, post us up, when our best big is a 6'3 rookie who has no business playing center in the UAAP seniors division. You could see how Porter's play inevitable tailed off in the 2nd round due to the constant pounding of his counterparts who were 4 to 8 inches taller game after game. This lack of a decent big was the main reason for this season's debacle and I hope this hole becomes the main priority of our coaching staff in the upcoming recruiting process. I'd even dare to say we were a Geo Chiu away from making the final 4 lol Still, win or lose, it's the school I will always choose. Thank you for the one, big, fight Chris and Sean. You are champions and no one can ever take that away from you. On to the fray!

Underrated scorer talaga si Scottie. If you watch the PBA, he has worked so much on his threes that it can be a 50/50 ball and he can have 2-3 threes per game if he gets that groove. In the open court, or even in the half court, because of how athletic he is, most of the time he can lay it up.

not really a “perfect” game from gilas but definitely a very bright sign for what’s to come in the future ! offensively gilas used to have so many “pilit” plays on offense whereas this game vs nz was more fluid and the offense is definitely more intentional. kumbaga hindi na eyesore panoorin yung offense HAHAH hoping to see adjustments on the defensive side tho

We need to clean up that defense if we want to make the Olys. Scottie had a good game, maybe his best Gilas game against high level competition. But I still think he's a bad fit for Gilas. He can't play PG. He doesnt even bring down the ball often. He is at his best when he's playing offball, which makes him have to play beside a PG and leaves us undersized. He hit threes this game but we all know that that's not really his game, NZ was sagging hard off of him which clogs the lane. Our offense started so flat and everything changed when New (who is just so good) came in. As you guys mentioned I also hope we could get a deeper pool. The current guys are awesome but alot of them are way old. I like the following as cadets: JB -> Ron Harper Jr (similar game IMO, all around players who can play 2-4) New -> Thirdy (Thirdy can be a good POA defender, his shot is given too much hate, and IMO an underrated playmaker [hopefully can get that Euro BBIQ]) CJ -> BRP (I dont get why hes not there) Skati -> SJ (SJ can play international ball) Japeth -> Motor Mike (if eligible) JC -> Jared McCain 🤣 I think JMF will be here until the wheels fall off haha. But should be QMB if really eligible. And supposedly Kamaka Hepa also got a passport in time, like QMB. I hope he could come and play.
