I don’t know anything about cars what’s “wrong” with the paint that even needs “fixing”
@farmfinds8 ай бұрын
My Chevelle sports the original paint and has developed a nice patina over the last 53 years. Some people think that if paint isn’t glossy, it need fixing.

Fortunately, I am skilled in lots of things car. 😅 Unfortunately, in today’s world, to end up with a restored car of this type worth $40k requires a $60-$80k investment. 🤦🏻♂️

Just think you would just be one of the few that had a 1942 regulations on your grandpa and on you for finding it super super find God bless you and your family
@farmfinds11 ай бұрын
Thanks! Later on I found out that the car was sold by great grandpa to his grandson in 1958. He drove it for years, but then parked it in a shed on his home farm in 1970. It was then moved outside around 20 years ago. I was recently able to buy it from the grandson (who was 85 years old). Sadly, he passed away a couple months after the purchase. You can see the whole story on my channel. Thanks for watching!

The Ford guys say, based on the emblem, that it originally came with a 292, but the 312 could’ve been special ordered or swapped in later. The owner knows the car better than you and me.

Hard to believe people’s great grandfathers were driving these 1940’s and 1950’s cars. Seems like just yesterday when they were still being driven. My great grandfather was using horses and buggies in the 1800’s and early 1900’s and as a child listening to my great grandmother tell stories about Indians when she was a child.
