Күн бұрын

After checking out a cool '52 Chevrolet DeLuxe and rare '66 428 Ford Thunderbird, I decided to cruise around this small town. Much to my surprise, in an overgrown and dilapidated barn, I came across a 1956 Ford Customline Police Interceptor! In addition, the owner has a collection of vintage Ford F100 pickups from the 50's and 60's! A genuine classic FoMoCo BARN FIND!!!

That is most certainly a legit '56. Kansas issued the first Blue & Gray Highway Patrol cars to troopers starting in 1950. This is a Customline Tudor. The 312 with automatic transmission is 215hp and the manual gearbox engine was rated at 210hp. Magnificent find. The car is well deserving of a restoration when the owner is ready to sell. Big block [wide block] the interceptors were built a little different. Be cool if you got to take a look at what intake was on it and got to look deeper to see if it had extra oiling and to have a look at the Radiator and so on. Some of those highway chase cars were absolute legendds and very special under the hood and we're talking the Engine to the rear diff special. The whole car was usually unassuming. @@farmfindssedans were always less expensive & actually more rigid, so when law enforcement had 2-door patrol or true service rigs, they were 2-door sedans. This was my response to John Book: They all still have life in them and can be saved. I would caution anyone against assuming anything about someone they have never met. If he was selfish he would have chased me off. Instead he took the time, while he was ill, to show me around and tell me all the stories about his cars. He truly cares about them, even if he’s not able to care for them. He has lots of cherished memories and that makes it hard for him to let go. He will sell them when he’s ready, and if he’s willing, I’ll be there to help him find good homes.

In this case, only he can answer that. I know that he shared a lot of cherished memories with me, which makes the decision to let go that much more difficult.

It’s a shame is cars and trucks are going to sit there and rot.

The last time I spoke to him, he showed an openness to begin selling them. He’s had them for a long time, so there’s a sentimental attachment that is difficult for him to break. At the same time, this collection is his “nest egg” and he could use the funds. I’ll post an update once he has made decisions.

I appreciate that. Different channels have different personalities. I’m sure I annoy some (one guy already pointed that out)! 😂
