Politics is one thing fellas, Soccer is another.. it's obvious you guys must all be under the age of 40 to state Maradona was a better Futbal player than Pele. That's so inaccurate even the blind can see. The Physical aspects of the two alone, is obvious Pele was far superior. Check the footage, there is no comparison.

Well, I dont think so. Maradona used to play in Italy, in the 80s. Is well known that coverages in those times were 100% more difficult than in Pele times. Also, Pele used to play with another 4 or 5 players as good as him, even in Santos he used to play together with enormous players. What MAradona did is much more valuable. But at the end is a mather of taste. And about physical aspects, Maradona was a beast as well.

He was the best. He played for Mechelen which wasn't a very good team and he single-handedly won the UEFA CUP and supercup for them. The match that belgium played against the netherlands at world cup '94 in the USA is considered by many experts to be the very best goalkeeping performance in history. He stopped everything, belgium only had one chance, the netherlands had 20 but Belgium won 1-0.

Tbf, Mechelen had a rich owner back then. He bought in very good players and a well known coach from Ajax.
