He was the best. He played for Mechelen which wasn't a very good team and he single-handedly won the UEFA CUP and supercup for them. The match that belgium played against the netherlands at world cup '94 in the USA is considered by many experts to be the very best goalkeeping performance in history. He stopped everything, belgium only had one chance, the netherlands had 20 but Belgium won 1-0.

Defesas impossíveis. Reflexo... É dificil um rebote com ele, ja vi bola a 120km/h no ângulo e ele pegar calmamente e sair jogando normal. Preud'homme é o melhor de todos os tempos. Sai do gol de forma impressionante, qualquer atacante, até os brasileiros, gelam ao ver a muralha belga. Sempre tentei me comportar como ele no gol.
