There is something strange about the Essex/ South Suffolk area in the early Anglo Saxon period. I suspect this was still under British control but due to the frequent inter marriages of the rulers families I suspect would have been a mixed culture. This is the only ship burial found in England so hardly proof it was common Anglo Saxon practice. Neither do we know it was a Saxon King! It could well have been a British King. The type of jewellery etc does not tell us the actual Ruler’s ethnicity. It took the Saxons 500 years to form England and remember Alfred the Great was a Saxon.

Nice video, are you still using this program or have you tweaked it more? Little tip for filming, get a neck mount and use it with action cam, I have an Akaso camera and for the price they are superb.
