I use all of the Art of Shaving products. They are just the best! There is no way I'd go back to using a bic and barbasol. Such high quality products that actually work, there is no gimmick here.

I've had a beard for 10+ years, but I'd seriously consider going to the Art of Shaving near me, just for the sake of getting a Royal Shave.

A hot towel feels good and soften the hair. That's true. However, pores don't open, nor close. That's a myth. Ask any dermatologist or do a search on the web.

Once you have a wet shave you will never get a shave anywhere near as good with a modern safety razor.

I feel you are quite correct with this type of full Oxford or a Full brogue but with an open Oxford or Open Brogue dress shoe it is different. When I worked for Austin Reed many years ago in the Churches and Cheney shoe department we were told by Churches that the open shoes should have crossed laces. That was many years ago, perhaps times have changed. Of course one would not wear open eyelet tab styles with business suites anyway so I suppose the point I make is moot!

For my 21st I went to the store on 5th ave. NYC. I can honestly say it was the best shave I ever had. The service was outstanding, the products top notch and the quality of shave was second to none. I would love to go back. Highly recommend, great vid :)

@SuperMarioY This is why I try to perfect my daily routines into something slow and enjoyable. Traditionally wet shaving, loose leaf tea, hell even boiling an egg can be perfected.

They are Gaziano & Girling's whose pattern I had modified slightly some years ago when they would do such things. .

You should ask the customer to point-up their toe in order to polish the backs since it folds up like that.

@SuperMarioY.....Joe Roberts is using a straight razor that has replaceable blades so I'm sure he's not worried about honing or keeping that particular blade after this shave.
