Hi. Can you go to a camping site in south Africa, and sleep inside the car (sedan). No tent

To be honest I really don't know. I haven't seen anyone do that. I imagine it could work with a bakkie that has a mattress and canopy.

So you mind telling me which suburb you live in, please? I've just sold my home and your view of Jozi is spectacular.

South Africa is beautiful, but it's a shame that they don't keep it clean, they throw dictionaries and dirt on the sides of the roads, it only ruins your image

We were there last year. Nice place, but a bit over rated. Can be crowdy, most video don't show that people can be close to you. Also no warning about the wind that can be strong and that your car will be sandblasted when you drive out to the wild horses view point when the wind is strong.

We stayed here on our visit to Namibia in Sept 2024. Well situated for visiting Kolmanskop and Luderitz. Highly recommended if wanting to visit the area. Thanks for the overview - find these very useful.

It's a nice campsite. Personally, I was very keen on camping inland to avoid the wind on the coast but still get to explore the nearby attractions, so this very well located.

Nice. Clear and Simple. 🤙🏽🤙🏽. It’s nice to have all the Gucci kit but this reaches a bigger audience who don’t have resources but can still enjoy great outdoors. Like how you mentioned you can even do it in a city sedan car. So don’t even need a million rand bakkie.

We stayed there last year (Oct and Nov) and 2019 (June) and it didn´t change during this period of time. It is a great retrospective for us to see your video and to hear your comments and it definitely is as you are saying despite nature in your video is much greener 🙂 2019 we had a big herd of buffaloes around the ablution block where our campsite was very close to (No. 4?) and last time lots of Impalas and a Honey Badger at night at our firepit. Ihaha is a great place and worth to stay longer than only one night.

Omg this tent would be hell on a hot humid night when it rains. Everything has to be zipped up. On top of that, it takes 2 ppl to set up with any amount of ease. Terrible! In summary, it looks well made with quality materials, but BADLY DESIGNED. So whats the point of a well made tent that you cant stand to be in during the times you need to be in it the most? Its a no from me.

These Campsite reviews are probably the most useful content for anyone planning a trip in this part of the world. Gems I visited after learning them from your reviews: Matamba Bushcamp-ZA, Khama Rhino-BW, Robin's Camp-ZW!!! Great content & presentation. Many reviews tend to neglect how to get there, road conditions/ what kind of vehicle. Thanks you & Chapeaux from Luxembourg!!!

TG welcome back mate!!!. Life does get in the way, it’s understandable. Just glad you didn’t permanently vanish. Lefokeng (together with Thorn Tree Bush Camp) are my fav in Dinokeng. Yes Hammanskraal ambient noise is a little intrusive but they are great. Always bring your own shade in Lefokeng or you get cooked. Please hook up a “meet & greet” in the near future.
