I just saw this, and realized I need to make this, but i need to make mine into a hanging one. That way, I can have easy access to my fav hooks, and I can easily put them back so I don't lose them. Thanks for this tutorial. Going to go make something similar!!

The 2 pompoms makers are used together to make 1 pompom. You will have to put them back to back and rollthe yarn around both and cut by the yarn in between the 2 makers 😊

Hi! If I want to make these shorter, what would be my beginning chain stitch count? Say I wanted to shave off one scale would I decrease by six? Thanks so much for this video it looks really fun. I can’t wait to try it!

Don't forget that if you make it into a square you need to "block" it to get it into the right shape like most other granny squares. Great tutorial! I love how they came out.

I really like your concept on this design, no cutting, no ends to weave!! I feel like an idiot even asking this question... how do you increase the size to make a rectangle blanket, say lap size? Thanks for all that you share with us!!

I tried to explain the process in my other comment. From what I found, you just need to work until you reach the width you want your project to be. For me, I'm making a 46"x62" throw. So I worked until my was 46"x46". On the final square on one side, I slip stitched across like she does at 17:05 and then worked my row. When I reached the other side, instead of slip stitching like she does at 20:30, I chained 6 to make a new square and then worked my row. Doing this will keep once side of the project at 46" while allowing you make the other side longer.

Love your tutorials although I seemed to loose a stitch when doing the hat but it turned out ok. I noticed the decrease in the hat though I did use Chanelle yarn

Thank you for this video ... what is best to use doing this stitch , 2 colors , 3 colors ? And what are your thoughts on using a color changing yarn or variegated yarn with this stitch ?

I’m confused. You completed row 3, turned the work, and then slip stitched across. You worked two internal squares and then added the outside square. At this point the height is 3 squares and width is 4 squares. I’m not seeing how you keep going to get 3 squares by 5 squares, then 3 by 6, and so on.

I made him. Making an Octopus was main reason I wanted to.learn to crochet. Thanks for your independence tutorial. I struggled with the legs a bit as the bottom became quite awkward to crochet as I was doing the legs. He was alot smaller than I hoped. I used a 4mm Hook & DK yarn. What size hook & yarn is best to make him bigger?
