Thank God my local radio station played Heat Treatment when it first came out. He is such an underrated talent. I've seen him live with a band, and also solo, and he never has disappointed. (Though I wish he would tour again with a band!) Squeezing out Sparks is one of the greatest albums of all time.

The guitarist in 2024 who I think comes closest to the style and showmanship Brian Setzer exhibits in this video is Luke McQueary, who plays with Kelley's Heroes. Like Setzer, he plays with a "take no prisoners" style that works well in a three-piece band.

Absolutely the best reggae band ever. Is this a new version of the original concert? All comments are fairly recent.

Got to see him perform about 15 years ago in Calgary. David Gogo was touring with him. Johnny had to be helped onstage an sat for his performance. But was still fantastic!

Best progressive R&B/metal in the universe....saw him a winterland in 1978. He opened for Dickey Betts. He came on after Traver's and played all the Allman Bros catalog just to show Travers he couldn't steal the show (but he still kinda stoled the show!!)

Was there ever -- or will there ever be -- ANYONE who could come CLOSE to this man's amazing talent??? Answer: hard NOPE. SRV is the only one who could possibly be mentioned in the same breath. And I guess he put paid to the question as to whether white men could play the blues!
