Printable money minis! I used to do this myself. What a pain. I am glad someone has done this for free. This is awesome. Your channel should more visible, everyone needs to know about these tools. Thank you for this!

So... dumb question but how do you protect the LCD screen from damage if you're transporting it? If the Monitor has a problem and needs to be repaired or replaced, how do you do so? I don't see any way to protect the screen or replace/repair it if needed without building an entirely new DM screen.

I like the Tabletop Simulator the most for playing DnD, because it gives the most vanilla experience. You only got a sheet of paper, map, tokens and dice. I like it, because it doesn't automate anything, giving it a strong vibe of IRL playing.
5e Tools is also a good place, to find all the things you need, it might be a bit hard to understand, but when you get to know it, it will help a lot. it has all the books. a page with all sort of enemies and a rule page with so much more to find

This is too much for me. I have scribbles of names, doodles of maps and fragments of memory as my campaign notes, lol. OK. I tried it. The linking feature is dope. I am sold

This would be so cool as a live wallpaper. Maybe have a section of trees that move to be a clock, and you can have a subtle timepiece that's built into the map.

Can anyone explain to me what the point is of a map maker? I never seen this before hence why I would like to know more about why someone would be much dedicated to a map maker.

I don't need any map-making software. When making a map, I get out my dungeon craft terrain and arknight minis and make what I want.

If you’re on PC use fancy zones to setup your screen and shift drag then to a part of the winds to resize. Basically your whole monitor can have a massive GM screen

With dungeon alchemist, do my players have to buy it too to see and play in the map? Also is the final rersult a 3d playable game map or its still a top down perspective?

Good video. The mustache makes me uncomfortable. Couldn't tell if the guy was talking or if the stache is sentient

20:25 That is how the video game _The Sims_ works. You draw the walls, then texture them.

I've been using Shock damage from the game Worlds Without Number (it's also in SWN and CWN). All *melee* weapons have a Shock rating, which is how much damage they do on a "miss." The idea is if you're swinging a big fucking club at someone you're probably not *actually* missing them. It's like a glancing blow. So a Shock damage rating looks like this: 2 / AC 15. This means you deal 2 damage + your ability modifier in damage to any creature with an AC of 15 or less. If you would ever roll for damage on a hit that would deal less than your Shock damage, you deal your Shock damage instead. Holding a shield lets you ignore the first instance of Shock against you each round. It REALLY makes combat way more dangerous. And now melee characters actually *do* something!

Why do stuff needs to be free and cheap? Is it kind of a click bait? Can we just pay and have quality product (and also own it) ?
@maartenverdouw46883 күн бұрын
Because the largest company creating role playing material cares more about monetization than about delivering quality?

Great resources! For any of my fellow Pathfinder 2e players - "Pathbuilder" is a completely free PF2e version of D&D beyond that the players of our show use (and we use it for all of our home games). It looks a little funky at first but once you learn how to use it its awesome!

The character in dscryb shown in the video at 4:50ish, KorTok, is MY CHARACTER!!! Super awesome to see him showcased there. I loved the process of working with the dScryb artist to get that done. They seemed to be genuinely invested in making my character come to life and allowed me to have input at several stages throughout the process. I could not have been more pleased with the final product. KorTok is a Lizardfolk Swarmkeeper Ranger from the desert who uses the sand itself as his swarm, hence the swirling sand in the picture. I asked the artist to base the lizardfolk off of a Gila Monster and they were really into that idea and I feel they knocked every aspect out of the park with that.

I can REALLY recommend Arkana Tools’s Paper Map Generator tool and Paper Mini Converter tool. The Paper Map tool can turn any digital battle map into a printable PDF in the correct 1 inch scale, and the Paper Mini tool can convert any image into a printable miniature in the correct size. You just enter the creature’s height in ft, and the tool will scale the paper mini to the correct size.

Printable Heroes totally changed my relationship to mini collecting; they're so good and so cheap and so easy and take up so little storage space; just fully superior to 3d minis in every way for most D&D uses. Their catalog is enormous, too, to the point where I've never actually needed to look elsewhere for something.
