Please add an option to generate 10 at a time or something. That will generate a decent sized list and might make it easier to pick and chose, mix and max, etc. For example you might copy the raw list into a text editor and makes tweaks until you have 5 "finished" NPCs.

Played around with the extension and I really like it! Happy that it isn't fantasy limited to just fantasy. My only gripe (as an Opera user) DARK MODE SUPPORT. The extension can go into dark mode but the text doesn't change, meaning i'm reading black text on a black background which isn't ideal. Otherwise, such a great tool for free!

Kudos for citing Cowan on short term memory and not the outdated, but classic and more commonly known Miller study "The magical number seven, plus or minus two". Turned out that 3-5 chunks is a lot more realistic than 7 if you don't just test a few highly intelligent professors. Here's a little tip for supporting your players memory: Group chunks of you have more than 3-5. For example: He was a brown haired, thin half-elf. His blue eyes looked around suspicously. Now you have two groups of information, which doesn't guarantee your players memorizing all details, but it makes it more likely. If you have characteristics that are more important, tell them first and last. This makes use of the "Primacy-Recency-Effect". People are more likely to remember information that came at the beginning (primacy) and at the end (recency), with the primacy effect being stronger than the recency effect. We can even see that in the video. On the first trial with 10 items, she remembered the first half better than the second and once she struggled, she was able to remember something from the end of the list. It doesn't perfectly mirror the theory of course, but that's just something inherently true for all psychological theories in my experience. And as a bonus, 4-5 chunks of information came relatively easily, just as Cowan would predict.

This is so cool. I honestly wish it was integrated into improved initiative since I use that already and have it open at all times during my games, but that's me just being picky. It seems like the custom lists need to be available by gender. If I am randomly looking to pull a female character from the custom list, I'll be clicking until I get one that I think fits....unless I am missing something. Thanks, again for this. It is unbelievable cool and I am so grateful that you created and I very much look forward to using it!

Does it also describe personalities? If it doesn't, there's a great system that would be pretty easy to implement that I highly recommend. It's from a tool called towninator where there are 5 lines of opposing personality traits and a set of 5 open or closed dots in between each pair. The closed dots indicate how strong that trait is compared to the other

Nifty. Less useful for worlds with significant racial divides in terms of ages, name structure*, etc., or for settings which explicitly aren't modern in tone, unless I'm missing something, but damn fine for modern setting/flavoured games. *Draconians in my worlds, for instance, trend toward three-syllable mononyms.

Well tbf, "stock build and a scar" makes it 6. You got 5/5 technically. That would be a good exercise to improve your recall. Start small and as you get better, add more, just like the gym. Might not help longterm, but that's what notes are for. Also reminds of the old electronic game Simon, testing concentration, memory, and your tolerance for flashing lights and beeps and boops and buzzes.
