Is it weird that Clank being a James Bond style character just makes all the sense? It fits so well for some reason.

Okay, I have questions here, because the Heartless/Nobody thing really confused me at first and I had to watch a couple of these cutscenes several times. 1) This one might be pretty basic, but bear with me here: do you actually need to be attacked by a Heartless in order to become a Heartless? One of the first Traverse Town scenes in KH1 shows Sora seeing a person get attacked by a Heartless and that person losing their heart. I assumed, from that point on, that that was the only way to become a Heartless. But does it also happen by just giving into the darkness in one's heart? I assume that's what happened to Xehanort. But if so, why doesn't Riku end up like one considering the "I'm not afraid of the darkness" monologue as the Islands get swept up? Or well...he kind of does, doesn't he? The way his wardrobe changes in that game, he almost crosses the line into a Heartless, doesn't he... 2) Okay, we have this huge Heartless battle in Hollow Bastion when a ton of lore gets dropped on us. Xehanort was Ansem's apprentice, I get that. He started going around telling people he was Ansem, he became a Heartless and that was who we defeated in KH1, I get that too. His Nobody is the leader of Organization XIII, and the Nobody's name is Xemnas, got that too. So, when Mickey recognizes Xehanort on the battlefield and remembers his name (this is right around the 9:00:00 mark), we're not actually looking at Xehanort right there, right? We're looking at his Nobody and that's Xemnas, am I right? Sorry if that's pretty basic too. It just confused me to hear Mickey refer to him as Xehanort and hear Donald say, "we can't let Xehanort get away!" when we know the Nobody has a different name. Now, I realize that Donald doesn't yet know the Nobody has a different name, they get that a few minutes later, but it gets confusing for the rest of us who are used to hearing that Nobody referred to as Xemnas (harder also that Xemnas seems to react to being called Xehanort when Mickey says it, as if to say, "yep, that's me!" He speaks like he retains his memories as Xehanort, which it sounds like he does, but since the rest of the Organization don't have their previous memories, it's weird.). Given also that Xehanort and Xemnas, even though they're technically the same person, are physically walking around inhabiting two different bodies, it gets hard to tell them apart. I could only do it by the Heartless Xehanort/Riku having more slicked back hair and the Nobody Xemnas having hair that's fuller and frames his entire face. I guess the voices are different too. 3) That brings me to my next question. The Xehanort Heartless is possessing Riku, if that's even the right word? I remember the Riku storyline of Chain of Memories had Riku defeat Xehanort and trap him within his own body. It really helped having those cutscenes from 358/2 Days added in to this game, because it's been a while since I've seen anything from that game. So, who was in control of that body? According to the conversation between Mickey and Ansem, it's Riku at heart, so Riku is in control of that body, but can Xehanort take over whenever he wants? Some of the things he does seem more Xehanort than Riku at times, especially calling himself "Ansem" at the beginning of the game. 4) That 10-minute Roxas segment in the World That Never Was (around the 11:50:00 mark). So, I was under the impression that Namine and DiZ had succeeded in absorbing Roxas back into Sora and Roxas realized it had to happen, which ended the first two hours of gameplay. So, having this scene in The World That Never Was...that was jarring, because Roxas was suddenly able to come back...wait, now that I talk it out, I think I get it. Am I right in this? They reach the spot where Roxas battled Riku, which forces Roxas's memories of the event to the surface of Sora's mind, and it gives Roxas enough strength to try to come back, even though he's within Sora. That whole battle was inside Sora's head and it was Sora and Roxas basically battling for control of that heart (Roxas is a very strong Nobody that wants his own existence after all). Of course, Sora wins. That scene with Axel...again, it's been awhile since I've seen the cutscenes for 358/2 Days, but was that a flashback from that game (at least part of it) or was that whole thing just another conversation in Sora's head to allow Axel and Roxas to say goodbye to each other? 5) So, while Sora and the others are fighting the Heartless in Hallow Bastion, Xemnas gets into Ansem's study, downloads all the data onto a disc, and then what? That's the Chamber of Repose that I assume he goes to. Xigbar mentions in that flashback (a very good one, had to laugh at Xemnas avoiding Vexen) that Xemnas goes to the Chamber of Repose and speaks to someone, his "friend." That thing on the floor was his "friend," but what was that thing? A Heartless? And is the final battle that Sora and Riku fight against that thing in the Chamber of Repose? Or am I getting ahead of myself and that's in the next (or another future) game? Xigbar does mention there's a Chamber of Waking too, so I guess this all gets explained in Birth by Sleep, or am I wrong? 6) Is the whole Cloud/Sephiroth thing something I have to play the Final Fantasy games to really understand? It just felt kind of shoe-horned in here. (Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if the game-makers just put that in here to plug the next Final Fantasy game.) 7) This last one is something I want to know just for the heck of it: do Cloud and Aerith have a thing for each other? Or is it Tifa and Cloud that have a thing? (For that matter, what was Tifa's whole point in this thing? She feels shoe-horned in too.) I want to know which is which because the answer could potentially blow a hole in my Leon/Aerith ship, which I have been on since KH1.

Just realized that Cortana probably chose 6 because he was as hyper-lethal as Master Chief and on some level had a similarity of luck being the last soldier on Reach. Those elements were what she preferred in order to survive and chose the most capable person to help her accomplish her goals.
