@@lumie1796 Yes they can...but you need to be careful of the bigger and heavier wheels. You will lose a lot of FFB when you use those wheels. Like the FSR, CS V2 and the GS V2. Also the wider the wheel, the more leverage you will have, which will also effect your FFB and the details you will feel. Hope I am making sense. 👍

My R12 is working just perfect no overheating nothing. Playing iRacing a lot and mostly downforce cars so there’s some decent FFB for several hours. No issues. 👍

@@SamuelHiti Exactly. I honestly believe some sim racers are abusing their equipment. Or think the FFB should be 100% in Pithouse and in-game.

How do you guys find racing against 100% AI in AMS2, now that we have the long awaited version 1.6? Do you also experience more exciting racing against the AI? Let me know and let's chat about it!

Honestly 100% AI is very track car dependent i sometimes have to raise it up to 110% i would like to see the consistency of the ai improved a bit but then maybe its more of a me problem with being worse in some cars and on some tracks?

But now im seriously thinking perhaps i should just get the r5 instead of starting off with an r12 🤔 I'm a beginner and I don't want to ruin the start of my sim racing career but having to fight and tune that r12 monster. If you had to do it all over again would you skip the r5 and go straight into an r12? Great video! Liked and subscribed 😂

Glad you enjoyed some of my comedy. Thanks alot for the sub! Hope to entertain you guys some more in 2025. You ask a very difficult question. Without the R5, I would not have known if I liked Sim racing this much. It opened my eyes once I got that awesome bundle. Coming from Logitech and then Thrustmaster...it was a whole new world once I experienced Direct Drive and now I am hooked. You know how the saying goes..."Buy once, cry once". You can always run the R12 at 75% or even less until you find you need more. If you get the R5...you can't get more juice out of it . The 5.5nm of torque will be it and then of course there is the FFB clipping. Many people are happy with it. But will you be happy? If you can afford the R12, get it! You won't regret it. Hope I answered your question. 🙂

I can afford it I just don't want to end up in the hospital like you did with the M1 😂 But if I can turn it down to say 5 or 6 nm while I learn how to use it properly then that's probably what I'll do. It's on sale in the US for $460. Once I add peddles (SRP) it's only about $100 less than an r5 bundle.

@@paescseap Yes. But you need to plug it in via USB. I can't get any shifters to work with AMS2 when plugged into the base. Don't know why...🤨. Thanks for watching man. Appreciate it.

I just bought it on Black Friday. This is my first wheel and I just get into this hobby. Even i set the strength at 80% it is still very strong for me. I don't quite understand why people complain it is not strong enough and u need 15 nm to enjoy this hobby.

I have the thrustmaster TX with upgraded T3PA pedals and shifter. But I just ordered this bundle with the clutch add on as well as the brake upgrade. A friend that has the r12 recommended this one and told me that there’s a big difference. Let’s see when it comes!

@ well, I heard that you can tune up the r5 to an r7 with some parts. Don’t know if that’s rumors, but again I’m sure I’ll want more at some point. But thanks for the heads up! Can’t wait to receive it. TX served me good for the past couple of years, but it’s time to sell and move on to the moza ecosystem and direct drive. I’m still keeping my th8a shifter.

Don't understand why direct drive wheels still don't come with a real sized 14 inch wheel. These 11 inch things make you feel like you're driving a toy or a go kart at best. Especially in vr the wheel size don't match you're visual which takes away from the immersion

I believe it is just physics. For bigger wheel 5 NM torque your hand will feel less power than a 11" wheel.

I don't know I choose my ( NV surround ) to my screen in SimHub but it still shows me only one monitor " screen shot " in simhub. How you got your triple screen screenshot in to simhub ?

Hey man. Thanks for watching. That is a difficult one. Simhub picked up all 3 screens. I didn't have to do anything. Just double check cause I had a unique image on each screen. Might just look like mine is showing the triples separately...if I am making sense. Simhub allows you to add multiple sections.

It makes sense but yes, I don't know why my simhub pick up only one " main " monitor even when I'm using Nvidia surround and choosed NV surround in Simhub. I have licence and also updated newest version of SimHub. Weird thing is that the screen what SimHub shows have a old display pic what I changed already 2 or 3 weeks ago. Don't show my current screen pic. I don't know, I didn't have much time to dive in to this but tomorrow I'll try again. Somehow I have to figure it out, because there is no much info about this issue. I would like to show you some screenshots from my SimHub situation but unfortunately can't add them in this comment. I'll send you some upload links here then you can click and see. Maybe we can figure it out somehow whats the issue :(

Go check out this link: support.mozaracing.com/en/support/solutions/articles/70000663997-xbox-games-support-list Here Moza tells you which games support the HGP shifter on the R3. So yes it does work..but not for all games. I do believe it works for the ones you would like to play on your Xbox. 🙂

I've just ordered it for my 5 year old (his profile will have to be turned down to a very low strength). I'm looking forward to using it myself at full power as it seems the best about without spending more than a reasonable used car lol. Hope you enjoy yours. Pro tip get the pedal springs and clutch upgrade and aswell as racing see if there's driving test simulator or teaching then when you are old enough to drive you'll only need a few lessons and study for your theory closer to the time! You'll need one lesson and you're instructor will be shocked to be putting you in for your test, he'll be thinking you've been stealing cars.

Yes, but you won't be able to play on the Xbox with it. The chip for Xbox, sits in the ESX wheel. For pc it should be fine. In all honesty, on the R3, I would rather go for the ES Formula mod. Lighter and smaller. So it won't have a negative effect on your FFB from the R3 base. Hope I am making sense.

I can understand that. I have a 15nm holding torque Simagic Alpha now and came from a 8nm base. I feel 12 is a good in between that I probably would have been happy with. I really only ever felt like I wanted more than 8nm "sometimes". I probably would have been happy with the simagic alpha mini. But I was trying to buy once (more) cry once (cry to end all cries)

@@GregoryShtevensh I think these 15/16nm bases are probably the last you will ever buy. I think personally I will only change bases, when I change brands. But everything is so modular. For content creation purposes, I definitely would love a few of these (different brands) sitting in my cupboard.

@virtualmotorheads yeah I agree its worth it to hold onto what you can as a content creator. But I truly think its either Moza or Simagic now. The QR is still the best one. And they also have the best ecosystems that are easier to interchange too. Maglink and the GT now will go straight on. Cammus make a 73mm shaft, if you measure yours, you'll find Moza and Simagic have a 72mm shaft/hub (the raised section behind where the ball bearings lock in). This means even cammus wheels will fit on, but may have a slight bit of play. Make sure you buy QRs that are designed to fit on moza and simagic rather than cammus for that reason, because they both look almost identical apart from a slightly more aggressive raised section on the Cammus style Hub

I am new, in the sim racing world. I do have a steer but its a beat up old steer from what 10 years ago maby even older, so devently want to upgrade to the moza R5, doing allot of research on it at the moment.

I startet with G29 than G923 than i went to DD with Moza R5, R9 and now i have the R12. Its for me the sweetspot to not going into clipping on iRacing. But i would not say its a beast ^^
