What a sweetheart! So sad those evil people took her mother and her hand! PURE EVIL. Prayers for a special little girl. May she continue to get better and become somewhat like her original self. Sometimes the trauma is just too much. Thank you wonderful people for nursing her back to health and loving her. What beautiful people you are. God bless you all.😊💖

So sad! Bonobos should never be without their mothers and troops! Sadly monkeys and apes and many other animals are still being abused and tortured by people and it’s so sad that humans have come so far yet can still be so cruel

Agreed, considering that Bonobos (pan paniscus) know how to use playful prosociality regardless of age and gender as a way to promote group stability and avoid proactive aggression (Goodness Paradox).

It saddens my heart and soul to see what is humans would do to these innocent Babies and their families just to get a buck! Shame on us as human beings! God Bless the Sanctuary and all those who have their hands and hearts 💕 in helping these poor innocent Orphans!

Am I the only one who saw this precious babies eyes look terribly sad when her friend told her he had to go? She is beautiful. I know that they will take good care of her because they know she is only degrees away from being our closest Cousins and are very sensitive, gentle, and intelligent.

You would think that as intelligent as these animals are made out to be, they would figure out what a snare is and learn to avoid it, particularly after seeing family members get their hands and feet ripped off. Does a threat have to have eyes and teeth for them to know it is dangerous? Just throwing a question to the "primate experts" out there.

When you say that bonobos can use human language, do you mean like sign language or can they replicate sounds and words? How much can they do?
