I bought the 4” for my small bathroom after watching this video. The sound quality is poor there is no depth for anything other than vocal they are useless for everyday listening. The app doesn’t let you adjust any eq,I messaged the manufacturer to get there prospective and they ignored me. I’m honestly gutted I thought these would be considerably better than they are I’ve now cut holes in my finished ceiling to accommodate these speakers and wish I hadn’t.
@kbaudiouk8 күн бұрын
Hi, thanks for your comment. I'm surprised as they are a good sounding speaker for a small unit and we've had positive feedback on it in general. As they are a small speaker they will lack depth but for background music in a small bathroom this is usually more than adequate. You could replace it with the larger 6.5" unit by making the hole larger, these are a bigger speaker with more depth so will sound better.

Hi, you can use the S880DB with a T5 only by using the audio pass through method shown in the video with an external source such as WiFi streamer or PC. Hope you can help me with my dilemma. You seem to have a large knowledge with speakers and I wanted to ask you about my plan. I wanted to connect Edifier R1855DB + Edifier T5 and the Edifier D12 will that be possible or will that bust the speakers? hoping for your opinion.
@kbaudioukАй бұрын
Hi, the R1855DB has a subwoofer/line output so can feed the T5 fine, or the D12 but not both together. Your best bet would be to get two WiiM Mini Wi-Fi streamers and use them as sources on the R1855DB and the D12. Then you can stream and group the two together in sync with no issues.
@osiearl1181Ай бұрын
The audio input can simply come from the computer's headphone/audio output to the T5 subwoofer. Why does it have to be a separate music streamer/amplifier? For example, with Edifier S1000MK2 speakers?
@kbaudioukАй бұрын
Hi, You can use the S1000 + T5 but as the S1000 doesn't have a subwoofer output so you'd need to feed your PC's audio output into the T5 and then the T5 into the S1000. This will work fine, the audio source doesn't need to be a Wi-Fi streamer but it does need to be able to control volume which your PC can. If you then stream to the speakers via Bluetooth directly the subwoofer won't work, but content played through the subwoofer will play through speakers + subwoofer together.

Does it have crossover features? I mean does it send the speakers full range sound? Or only hid to high's?
@kbaudioukАй бұрын
Hi, it does have a low pass filter for use when connected via a sub output. But if you're looking to send sound via the T5 to speakers then its an RCA pass through at full range. You basically set the speaker volume, (quite high) set the sub volume then once tuned and sounding good you leave the speaker and subwoofer volumes alone and control the volume from the source device (i.e WiFi streamer or PC)

@ydkma While some believe single-unit speakers can only produce mono sound, this isn't always the case. Many mid-range and high-end models, such as the JBL Boombox, JBL Authentics series, Harman Kardon Go+ Play 3, Audio Pro C20, and Edifier D32, feature dedicated left and right drivers, enabling them to create a stereo-like experience. Although the soundstage may be limited compared to traditional stereo setups, these speakers offer a clear distinction between left and right channels. To categorize all single-unit speakers as mono is an oversimplification, much like labeling all Soundbars as misleading.
