Great episode! I was curious what your thoughts are on vehicle balance? Most walkers in grimdark future are the same tough, quality, and defense as their tank counterparts. I play custodians. the base anti grav battle tank is 555 points where as the assault walker is base 460 with the same tough. It makes larger tanks almost unplayable. My heavy battle tanks are 825 and 900 points respectively and it’s just such a massive points sink even at a 3000 point game. And I wanna play my caladius damnit! 😂maybe if you can address that in a video or second of a video that would be awesome! Your insight is always amazing. Keep up the great content and thanks so much for doing it!

I will concede that Alien Hives buff/debuff spell list may be the best in the game, but their attack spells are fairly lackluster compared to others.

Hi there, so I tried a game with your 'competitive HDF faction' after playing a couple of defeats with the official faction. For the most part I just want the cost optimisations of slow tanks and flimsier artillery etc, but with toys like Cyber Eyes and Shooty on the Stormtroopers, would you consider this to be too optimised for casual play? I know it's all algorithmically costed, but I can't help but feel dirty about it, but don't enjoy how little I can field in a 2k list for the official HDF faction

They should be a slow army and have so much ambush shenanigans as the raiders and of course the jesters should have. Love to give your army a try and hope at least some units will reach the enemy ❤

I hate fluff failures, like Change Disciples having poor spells.

Sorry if it sounds rude, but i think you will be the first prize for ''the person that changed and mixed the most the name of the ruleset of the year'' contest. I'll explain, so also other persons watching it do not misunderstand: - The name of the game is Epic, not Epic40k, which is the name for the previous Epic edition to the one you are playing. - The name of the ruleset is Epic Armageddon, which is the latest edition of the Epic game. There is no 40k in the name. - You are using one fanlist from the group netEA (net Epic Armageddon, not Epic Net Armageddon). This group is about lists, but ruleset is still EA, so your game is about EA, like you said at the beginning. - The second fanlist seems to be one of the ones from EpicAU, or based on it, but their lists are for 30k, not 40k.

Unfortunately this is a pass for me. Locally we have one game shop with tables and those are booked months in advance for 40k and DnD. I've tried to get a game going with people other than my kids for over a year with nothing to show for it. Not due to people not know what OPR is, but rather they're highly invested in 40k. The alternative is driving 1-2hrs to Austin (depending on traffic) or to Waco, TX (again 1-2hrs depending on traffic) for what might be 2 or 3hrs of game play. Total time might be 10hrs, that's a full day of work for little game time or return.

Loved the interview. Been playing OPR with friends and they've been very receptive to it. Printed out chibi imperial guard for my daughter to play our "Dice Game." She loves painting, too.

40k 8th was ok, 9th and 10th push too hard for competitive play and are way too bloated with rules. I started with GW back in 5th ed.

I feel like one event a month is a really high bar. My local group is trying to figure out how we can spread the work around and get one person to kind of be the representative for the Ranger program.

I would love to join, but my wacky night-shift work schedule really makes in impractical for me. Still, I think it's a great idea and I hope it's really successful! And foo on that rigerwhatever guy, I really enjoy OPR's more dignified lore than W40k's cartoonish sexism.

Nope, Ive done thankless free promotion in the past for other games, I'll take a huge pass. I really don't like OPR's lore, but I do like their rules, that's all OPR is to me.
