That can't scale to the whole country. They need electricity. They have plenty of sun and wind, I am sure. Not to mention natural gas.

Love that they sing! I wonder what they could sound like if exposed to simple human rhythms.

I think people underrate these artificial wetlands created by rice fields. I think the main issue here is getting rice farmers go no till.

1:15 What is not widely appreciated is that the enormous increase in the amount of wheat harvested worldwide is NOT mostly because of increased acreage. Instead, it is due to improving crop yields. That is due to several factors. The most obvious is improved agricultural technology, including fertilization, pest control, hybrid varieties, and mechanization. But another major reason is rising CO2 levels, which dramatically increase yields of almost all crops, including wheat. I noticed an error at 2:31: Hydrogen gas is not _"naturally present in the atmosphere"_ in significant quantities. The hydrogen comes from fossil fuels, mostly natural gas. I noticed another at 6:28: _"crops that naturally produce nitrogen, like legumes and clover"_ isn't right. Legumes do not "produce nitrogen." Instead, they *"fix"* nitrogen, from the air. Nitrogen is an element, and plants cannot create it. Also, clover *IS* a legume. I noticed another at 7:15: _"we don't really have a choice, unless we want a bunch of dead oceans."_ That's just wrong. There's no danger that fertilizer runoff could cause "dead oceans."

If he would give the cook bags for the banana peels he would save time when collecting the peels.
