Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It is a very nice trick. I have a 1999 Camry, and was not sure if the "bolts" connecting the flanges were actually bolts or the kind of studs in your video. Other mechanics used an air chisel to push out the studs. But I don't have such kind of air tools, so I was thinking to just live with the leak and noise from the flange. Couldn't find anywhere where it is stated for the 99 Camry if bolts or studs were used for flange connection, and I knew if it were studs being used, I would have a problem. I know that is where the leak is on my car by spraying soap water there, and using a shop vac in reverse to blow air backwards through the exhaust, and observing the nice patch of bubbles that show up at the flange. Now I have a method of how to press out the studs (if in fact the 99 Camry is using studs) with your trick. No need to live with the noise. I am now well armed to attempt the DIY job. Thanks again for sharing.

You did not scroll all the way down when you got to the Power Train control module screen. Did it have the "camshaft relearn" function for when you replace the cam sensor? What about the throttle body position relearn?
@FixingWithPassion19 сағат бұрын
Don't need to relearn a camshaft sensor. No such thing on this year. Crank is all you need to relearn with a new computer.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I have a 2012 F150 and I mainly have had this problem when out camping and the bed has been jammed full of camping equipment ... even harder to deal with a stuck tailgate and a Tourneau cover on it .... but you solved the mystery! It does seem to have only occurred so far for me only when there has been pressure from the load in the bed against the tailgate. I'm going to make these adjustments tomorrow, before it happens to me again and I look like a dumb dizzy blonde chick! (Well, you did confuse me on the "T-30" bit for removing the cover screws, but hopefully AutoZone or Harbor Freight can clue me in on what type of bit that is!) You're a sweetheart for posting this! Much obliged, from Texas🥰.

So how big of a deal is this leak? Pretty sure I've got one going on. However, I'm not noticing my oil levels going down. There's no way I could ever do all this, so if it's not gonna really do anything having it leak, I'm not gonna worry about it. But if it could take out the whole car, then I'm selling the dang thing! Lol

The fluid has to be warm and the engine running in park. Definitely block the wheels too. The fluid reading will not be accurate if the transmission pumps aren’t running drawing the fluid up to a normal level. My 2010 has a dip stick fortunately. That dipstick/ plug is got to be the dumbest piece of automotive design I have seen of late. A definite step backwards from a hood accessed dip stick.

As always I am late to the show! I am a 62 yr old female. I have 3 older brothers that I always relied on for fixing my 2006 chevy trailblazer, but sadly 2 have passed. My oldest brother is crippled up bad, so fixing things is getting harder for him. I hope this video also goes for a 2006, but I am sure I can figure it out. Rust is a problem here in Wisconsin. I am now hoping that the rust hole on the back door allows me to see that little lever hole to open it. I need to find a video on how to get my stuck back seat down to it your way...lol. It is not a cost-effective rebuild for anyone other than a mechanic who does not value his labor time very much. Why? He has at least 4 hours of Labor and at least $50 in parts. And given the fact that this is a used machine, I think it was a waste of time completely and not even close for refurbishment and reselling. It will not fetch the same price as a new machine and so the equation is even worse for rebuilding the machine. Simply not cost-effective and not even close. But it was an interesting rebuild and he was very good with his explanations and photography. So I give him a thumbs up for the work. But if he is trying to make a go at a profitable business than he failed.

@@FixingWithPassion I was hoping dorman or someone just sold a loaded spindle but these cars have been out of production so long.... I build the gt models for racing they're cheap and the motors have forged internals good for around 600 HP stock so with a bigger turbo bigger injectors and a tune they'll make a tad over 350 HP to wheels and since the rear seats and plastics come out easily getting the weight down to about 2600 pounds isn't too hard, but coming across parts at the junkyards is pretty hard for the turbo models

My father was a mechanic and he brought one home when they stopped using it at the dealership before I was born and it was used and sat in the driveway for forty years, neighbors would come up the driveway and borrow it always returning it when they were done , years later when I sold the house I finally got rid of it, something I regret to this day

Air in the abs can be a real pain in the butt. If this came up after the system was opened/bled but was fine before, you need to start with a bi-directional scan tool to run the abs pump before firing the parts cannon, especially if you tried to bleed it while the car was running, you probably sucked air into the abs. When you run a auto bleed the abs pump will run for all 4 wheels for some cars, you can just top off the res and open all the bleeders and let it do it's thing, but most cars the solenoid valves will open on the left or right side of the car, then run the pump on the opposite side, those systems can be a pain, the instructions your scan tool will give you will tell you to bleed the calipers like you would normaly, but don't, what ever side the pump doesn't make a bunch of noise on just hold the pedal down, the solenoid valves will open/shut a bunch, then bleed after the scan tool has run the auto bleed, you might have to do it a few times.
