Hello... one question, can you crop a photo from the same camera?
@gurhanpekuz181326 күн бұрын
Thank you bro. I have 7ne and very happy about it. It just works like a modern DSLR. I was thinking to buy a Contax. You saved me Plus if you are crazy about pixels, you can use a Canon L lens , sigma art lens or Zeiss crazy what ever. Only thing is all these lenses are bigggger than the contax buy size.

Can you set the sounds to off? In my current Fujifilm cameras, I can have the shutter set to silent 🏴
@luciengraetzАй бұрын
Yeah the shutter’s silent, you’ve gotta have your face right near the camera to hear anything

Good stuff brother. Enjoyed. Walk around constantly here in Vietnam with mine. Holler if you ever head this way. Quick question, what shutter speed are you finding that works for you best? Fully realize that determined by "speed of walk, etc", but I am finding that 250/500 seem to work, just curious on your walks. Thanks.

Thanks mate! Yeah depends a bit, but even blasting 1000th of a second when I’m really moving 👌

any chance you could test glimmerglass for night photography in black and white?

Hi Lucien, great video showing your Glimmerglass on a Q3 ! May I please ask if you can use the GlimmerGlass with the Leica square hood attached ? Also have you tried macro photography with the square hood and glimmerglass please ? Is it fully compatible ? Thanks !
@luciengraetz3 ай бұрын
Yeah, actually works better with the lens hood. Haven’t tried macro with the glimmerglass but it wouldn’t be an issue it’s just a filter 🤙

Hey Lucien great vid, which camera is your favourite right now if you can only bring one out with you?
@luciengraetz3 ай бұрын
Oof, tough question. The cop out answer is they both serve different purposes for me, but gun to my head I still gravitate towards film. I don’t love post processing and film drastically cuts down the edit time for me

Huge thanks for this. Tried this yesterday and the AFC with multi-field hack was a game-changer. Sure, it's not 100% accurate, but at f8-11 that's a non-issue for me. Fast, stealthy and I genuinely find it as good (if not better) than zone focusing - when it does nail focus, it's superb, even at wide apertures. Nice one!
@luciengraetz3 ай бұрын
That’s the way! Thanks mate, enjoy 🤙

These are really helping me decide on keeping my Q3 28 or get the 43. Your proving that having wide is much better, and then crop into 35 or 43mm if needed. Closeups show much more info as well. Thanks!
@luciengraetz3 ай бұрын
Thanks mate! Yeah the 43 looks pretty cool, I’ve always been 28 though so I’m going to stick to what I know 🫶

Nice review. I saved you street settings on my user 6 to try out. I have found if you set display settings to EVF, LCD will stay off UNTIL you pull it out. Nice option and saves battery. But allows use of LCD when needed.

How do you take pictures of people in public without worrying about them freaking out on you 😂😂. I'd be so scared
@luciengraetz3 ай бұрын
I guess I firmly know my intentions are good, I try to be an unobtrusive as possible but if I see a really cool scene play out I won’t hide. More than comfortable letting people know I’m there and what I’m up to. It’s all about how you carry yourself and your presence, which mainly comes down to having a solid understanding of what you’re doing and why. For me, I just want to make interesting images. Not that it’ll happen very often!

Dude I shoot Leica q3 with a black pro mist 1/8 filter during the day too. I love the look as well. I'll try a glimmer glass like you. Have you tried a black pro mist 1/8 at night as thats when it works best?
@luciengraetz4 ай бұрын
Yes! You get it haha. I’ve got some night time in Kyoto stuff coming up with the glimmer glass on, they thrive at night. Haven’t used the bpm yet but definitely keen to try it out 💪

Brand reverence wankery aside, while I do hate what the glimmer glass does to highlights and contrast - making it look like you're shooting in peak air pollution haze. These shots are great. Love the general vibe you've got going on here. Great energy. ✌️

Great stuff! The reflections project is something you can keep working for a long time, I guess it can be pretty random as to how often you can get a top shot, no matter the practise sometimes it’s hard to predict. And I liked the advice of “keep the momentum going”, it feels very relatable to many things. Also congrats on the 1K subs, you beat me to it 😂 Keep them coming!

Love your abstract/reflection work how do you go about differentiating your heavily edited work from just straight up AI created images?
@luciengraetz5 ай бұрын
Thanks mate! All that stuff was shot and exhibited back in 2015 so I’m safe there! The reflections stuff I’m focussed on now is just the straight reflections off the water, and I think fact they’re all shot on film and have a physical negative is a good starting point for the differentiation for these ones 🤙 Could even sell a one of one printed and framed finished piece and include the negative in the sale. Retain a high res scan for subsequent editions etc

That didn’t last long for Pentax. They didn’t produce many of them, so there was a backlog of people waiting to get them. Now that enough have been distributed in just a few weeks - there is now a surplus of them. Turns out that they are not selling well at all. Wonder if Pentax will reduce the price to four hundred?
