Is the cliff behind the tiny house part of your property ? If so you can plant vetiver plants (if its allowed) along the cliff line. They grow very long roots (10-12m) straight down in only 1-2 years. Might be a great natural way to protect your house in case of any heavy rain or loose mud. Bonus use is the roots can be made into a mat which when wetted can make some nice smelling and cooling window, door and roof curtains. I don't know how they remove such long roots from the soil or if its grown differently for this use.

Los tienes que tener en un terreno perfectamente delimitado y con una valla ajustada al suelo (se escapan por debajo) y bastante alta. Si se escapan van los huertos y arrasan en 30 min con todo. Ánimo, vais muy bien

You might want to treat all of that wood you are building with. Wood worms are a real problem in the area that you live in.

I realize you are young and tough but you really need to look up Silicosis. It is very dangerous. Wear a mask and be safe.

Menina is a beautiful rafeiro alentejano dog. I once had one, named leão (lion) that was incredible sweet but didn't like also to be inside, neither the house and neither his house. Leão was a free dog and sometimes slept in the tomato field. The kittens are beautiful. Unfortunately in Portugal, there is no policy of sterilization of dogs and cats, but we should have one!

I think that the new doghouse is still a little too low. Perhaps that you can make the walls 30 cm higher, and the opening a bit higher as well. Because I think that the dog can't even stand upright inside the doghouse. Thanks for saving the kittens. Good progress, and the tiles look really nice. 👍

As one who love animals, I really appreciate Lilian’s heart for Menina and the kittens. My last two kittens are named Tchi-Tchi (girl) and Ralph. I’ve had many throughout my life, all rescued. The kitten rescue was great. I get so angry at people who do not take care of their animals. I had to giggle when I saw how you were trying to carry a too big slab of wood(?) on the wheelbarrow and the wheelbarrow slipped from under it. It happens to me all the time. I wish there was a super duper wheelbarrow out there that would handle more . Maybe there is but I don’t know about it. Nina may eventually adopt the dog house when she is tired of being wet and cold and seek refuge. By the way, that is an awesome house!! It may get wet where it is situated from the rain running down the hill. I’m sure you’ll be watching. She would probably love to have her house right next to yours. You have so much energy combined with hard work. Well done! I will continue watching. I wish you the best.
