The labels... each one of the suggestions mentioned Remo ing the paper label first. The labels are typically coasted in some type of plastic so it can't be permeated by fluids. So each time you left the label on and then added the "hack" you were not following instructions. Even the actual instructions for goo gone states you remove the label first. All these hacks were for removing the residue left AFTER you removed the label. Not for removing the label itself.
