yea sure more economical, but Microsoft is a company and other companies like MS should just go under.. sure its nice with O365, you dont need the horrible Exchange server on a 24 node cluster. But still all these "clouds" services that Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle are selling is fucking both the users and the workforce within IT.. only good thing with o365 is i dont need Windows anymore...
@brightideasagency9 күн бұрын
The objective reality is that Microsoft's cloud is astronomically more resilient than anything most, even fairly large, businesses could build on their own. Does that make it infallible? No. But the alternative of a couple of racks of servers in your company's basement isn't infallible either. It really depends on what you're trying to build. However, the point is that if you've bought M365, but you store all your files in Dropbox, unless that's a decision you've taken for well thought out technical or security reasons, you're just wasting money buying the same service twice. You'd be surprised how examples of this type of inadvertent wastage come up.

Can the PL-900 certification help in landing an entry-level job if someone has no previous working experience in IT?
@brightideasagency9 күн бұрын
On its own? Highly unlikely. I think it depends on what job you're actually looking for. IT teams benefit from the experience and transferable skills that come with a track record of success in different types of roles, and this can be really valuable to designing and building low-code solutions. In that case, PL-900 might be helpful to enable you to understand how your existing skills are relevant to the opportunities of low-code creation.

You mention MS has claimed it to roll out 'during sept'. Wonder if this also will apply for EU Do you happen to know or care to make a qualified guess please ? @brightideasagency11 күн бұрын
Copilot in Word is already great for those kinds of mixed input document creation tasks (an RFP template + some notes to add for example), what's changing is the list of types of documents/sources you'll be able to use. I would guess that this type of iterative update will roll out across M365 Copilot worldwide as it isn't a change that alters anything such as how the EU data boundary works for these tools (the data is already in Europe, the Copilot features can now access more of it).

Based on my current experience and knowledge of Apple Intelligence, I anticipate waiting until the release of the iPhone 17. Firstly, the announced features will be gradually introduced over several months, resulting in limited access to their full potential for an extended period. It is possible that the next iPhone and iOS version will be unveiled at WWDC next year, which may provide further insights into the capabilities of Apple Intelligence. Secondly, many of the features that I am personally interested in require collaboration between third-party developers and Apple’s App Intents and Spotlight indexing technologies. Unfortunately, many developers have not yet fully explored or implemented these technologies, and even Apple itself has not fully supported its built-in automation tools (Shortcuts and AppleScript) after their availability for several years. Furthermore, the rapid evolution of automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence technologies makes it challenging to predict future developments. This rapid pace of change could lead to significant disruptions that may even result in a shift away from using Microsoft or Apple products in the near future. In terms of the future and cloud computing, I anticipate a substantial disruption in the SaaS services and even traditional on-device applications. Consequently, I am more interested in accessing local hardware power and connecting it via private internet tunnels rather than focusing on the offerings of SaaS services like Microsoft 365, Amazon AWS, or others. We are on the cusp of truly useful virtual assistants. If you have not viewed the 1987 Knowledge Navigator KZbin video, I recommend revisiting it in the near future. Pay particular attention to the visual elements and their absence.

Been playing with both Lists and Forms this last two weeks to create a Helpdesk App in a corporate environment for internal "customers" and I am surprised to see I can't customise the graphics anymore to include corporate logos and colours like I used to be able to? On what you are saying - I agree the section 08:38 onwards - I'm personally debating which is the best approach - creating a central list file and then adding a form to that makes a better form and one that I can have specific columns included and then have a separate "form" for the Helpdesk admin with its own fields from that one List. I tried making a Power App originally but due to the limitation of our environment - I can't "see" or change the backend list. Frustrating - Microsoft Apps can be so near and yet so far from really REALLY useful at times.
@brightideasagency16 күн бұрын
Either option could capture data for a simple helpdesk application, however there are also lots of off the shelf options out there for this sort of application. Sometimes when the requirements exceed the basic tools it's a good indicator that it's time to step up to a more specialized product and the time cost of trying to manipulate unsuitable tools into doing what is needed ends up being greater than just buying a product where it's already built. This is an important considering when building anything either with Lists forms or with Microsoft Forms (and even Power Apps).

I feel like this video is for me 😅🫣 We are at the cusp of having to make the "to Copilot or not to Copilot" and the alternative currently is Sana Labs (Open AI partner). My big consideration is really how we can make the most of Copilot withib custom use cases in our company. I think the "in the know" people quickly gravitate towards building custom projects within Azure AI - and that in turn - devalues the Copilot license in a sense.
@brightideasagency22 күн бұрын
This is a question for a lot of businesses. Those who are most excited about AI are generally not the overwhelming audience that will be using it within teams. And in that case many of the positives of M365 Copilot shine. That doesn't stop extension in the future, but the foundation of Copilot is a good enabler towards that.

Because MS bought it embedded it into everything and now they are trying to force it down everyone's throats. No thanks.

I think you are missing the point of Copilot. If you have the interest and skill to try the OpenAI APIs or other similar services, then great. But that’s never going to be the path of least resistance to get the benefits of AI into most offices and into the hands of most information workers. Copilot is a useful tool and for organizations in terms of licensing, adoption, integration and security is low friction for large groups. For every tool MS delivers there are better options for more specialized tasks or for power users, Copilot is exactly the same in my opinion. And as for forcing it down everyone’s throat? They have a product and they want to sell it, not sure how this is different than when you buy a new car and you’re suddenly bombarded with ads for SiriusXM radio.

I'm currently learning JavaScript syntax and how to use its schemas. Can you describe how you got your schema beyond "sample payload -> schema" or if it was written completely manually? And may I ask that you send/post the schema so I know how it works? Thank you!
@brightideasagency28 күн бұрын
The process of taking the demonstrative payload and converting it to a generalized schema is an automated one in this context. You can achieve the same simply by taking an action output and using the JSON in this process. Ultimately, the schema just describes the output you get in a way that makes it readily useable in the flow.
@sirfauxfire25 күн бұрын
@@brightideasagency I use the "sample payload to generate schema" button but it does not create a "URL" property and the schema generated looks much more barebones than the one in the video.
@brightideasagency24 күн бұрын
The auto generated schema is entirely dictated by the sample response you input. If certain fields are not pulling through to the schema then they weren’t in your response, meaning there is a problem with your flow or your underlying data. Ultimately processing the JSON response using a defined scheme is just a nice to have feature that makes usability further down your flow easier. The most important thing to learn is to get the flow right to expose the right data for whatever your project need is.

If your requirement is for work and working with business data, the only option is Copilot for Microsoft 365 (or if you want ChatGPT use ChatGPT Team or Enterprise) and it's the only option that gives you blanket protections of that data. The consumer versions of these products simply do not have agreements in place to give you assurances around sensitive work. Depending on the legal work you are doing and the area in which you work, you may even find that Microsoft's protections are not sufficient for your data compliance needs.

@brightideasagencyАй бұрын
You can create resource (room) mailboxes and assign them as staff to services in Bookings, however, you'd need to consider the approach you'd take to the logic of how different rooms might appear in different services (e.g. a service per room, a service per meeting size etc). If you meeting bookers are internal the more efficient way to do this is to create room mailboxes for each space and then book them with the meeting invite via scheduling assistant. Alternatively, you might also be interested in looking at Microsoft's new tool Microsoft Places, which is a more robust solution for managing this sort of need.
