I didn’t get go to meps because of my hypothyroid disqualified me just like that and can’t go or move further since it is policy.

Please it took you how many months after medicals before you got your ship date?

Congratulations man, I’m actually in finance in the AF myself. I originally was going to be in the reserves and my job was aerospace medical, so much irony there. You’ll do well, just don’t become laxed like many do at tech school.

i think its because there some ppl in their late 20s and early 30s that are thinking of joining but have a doubt some feel like they are too old to be joining so thats why they ask your age. But blessings bro hope all goes well

The Air Force is one of the harder ones get into. I was going to join the Airforce initially. When I passed the test the only job they really had open was military police. I ended up joining the Army as a pharmacy specialist. I wanted something that was easy to translate out of the military that I wouldn't mind doing.

I'm 22 & started the process to join the Army Reserve in March. I was a hs dropput prior to that; got a waiver denied 2 times in June. Then transferred the process over to the Army National Guard, & got approved with 3 days 2 weeks ago! Just enlisted as a 31B Military Police last Wednesday!!! Leaving to basic in October. Got disqualified for a rash on my thumb. Had to go to 3 different consults for meps to figure out there was nothing wrong. You’ll be good big man, atleast you picked air force. This army shit for Tha birds😂

I used to have dreads and I cut mine off long before I went to BMT. They were down to my shoulders. Mentally prepare yourself for BMT and get ready for the texas heat.

There's plenty of breathing exercises that you can do that's on KZbin that can immediately lower your bp bro. Obviously, diet plays a big factor. Breathe deeply in slowly, and then Breathe deeply out slowly and repeat the process for at least five minutes. It will lower your bp when on the machine. And start your running regiment, get that cardio up there and drink plenty of water. You'll be fine, brother. I've been there, good luck!! Also invest in a bp machine at CVS, it's affordable

I got into the air national guard as a dental assistant, so glad I got into Medical. I’m in student flight. I don’t have a ship date but I got my job list after passing ASVAB and MEPS July 11th 2024. I’m all ready studying for tech school. I’m trying to pass the certs so I can get a civilian job when I get back home from BMT and tech school.
