Hi Neil, I have watched your video a few times. I configure the some of the buttons and knobs on the Streamdeck Plus, but yet when I go to camera hub, and look at the Elgator Facecam Pro4K I don't see the script and this is beyond frustrating. I also wanted to let you know that (I think it was Matt Wolfe) said at some presentation (either Tiktok or Twitch) he heard something @ an as yet unannounced 15" version. But he said it quickly in passing. That would be very nice, but I will bet it would cost about $1,000.00. Can't believe all these problems.

There is an action: Camera Hub->Prompter Mode->Toggle (Text / Display). That will switch between your script and display. Assuming this is what you were looking for :-)

Hello, I have a problem that no one is talking about. I had 2 calls today with Elgato tech support and they could not help me. My setup is the Elgato Prompter, Facecam Pro 4K, Wavelink Software, Elgato Stream Deck Plus and I also used a Black edition of the Blue Yeti and downloaded OBS and nothing helped. My video looked terrible. It was as if I had AC running and I definitely did not. I also downloaded the Elgato plugin that is supposed to stop clipping and background noise and it did not help. The whole set up is counterintuitive and seems outdated and difficult to use. I would really appreciate and help and suggestions that you could give me. Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to mute the outputs or set volume for them? I didn’t see the option on your pdf and I find it so OBNOXIOUS that you can’t just click in the 1 or 2 headphones dial to mute and the spin to drop their volume is pretty unintuitive. Help please!

Hi, can you tell me specifically what you want to do? I do know that the MIDI functionality can be limited for some use cases; believe me, I have tested many combinations and found it to be very frustrating at times! No promises that your use case is support but let me know what it is you need to do 🙂

@ just mute/unmute the one and two headphone output, respectively, on the Duo. It seems like such a basic function that it’s making me wonder if my unit is defective and everyone else’s mute when you click the dials in. I’ve got my soundbar and headphones running out of that so that they each have a dial to control, but having to dial them off every time for muting is obnoxious.

Thanks for this, I am wanting the exact same kind of setup where I can use the Streamdeck to send controls to the Rodecaster Pro II from a different desk. I have been playing around with the MIDI commands in Streamdeck and for some weird reason setting the command to Toggle buttons make it so the button on the Streamdeck has to be pressed twice to toggle. Pressing twice again untoggles. That unfortunately makes the icons I select that are supposed to follow toggling get off sync. :(

It will move whatever you have saved to the various desktops.

I tried, it won't clean up extra windows in the same or active Desktop. It snaps the saved windows but extra in the same desktop will just stay in background. Also, if you move to a new Desktop view, on same monitor, it won't work well. Conclusion, it won't be all the right intents😂

@@Klarkooi some applications don't work with Moom. Zoom for example, is not affected by Moom. Most of the apps and workflows I have (and I have 4 monitors) work well.

This is great!!!! I have a question! I can mute and unmute faders 1 to 6 on my Rodecaster Pro 2, but i cant mute and unmute the virtual faders :( Im i doing something wrong?

Oh, that’s a very good question because I created this video before the virtual faders were actually released so I’m not sure if the mini control will support those. I need to do a little bit of testing to find out to see whether they will work or not. Thanks a lot for the kind comments and watching the video. I’ll get back to you here if I find anything.

Hi Neil, your videos are always informative and helpful, but no one has made on about my problem. I need help with a big problem. I have the Elgato Prompter, Facecam Pro4K60fps, the Elgato Streamdeck plus and I cannot find a way to be able to read from the prompter or even access it from either Zoom or StreamYard. I have the Wavelink software and the camera hub installed, but nothing helps and I cannot find any KZbin videos that tell me how to put this all together and make it work. Thanks in advance.

Many thanks for your kind words. Can you detail a little bit more about what you exactly want to do with the prompter and specifically with the interaction regarding Zoom and stream yard. The Elgato prompter when connected to your machine simply act as a secondary display, only when you need to use it as a teleprompter either using text on the screen using the Elgato camera hub or another third-party prompter is when you can use it in the teleprompter mode. If you are having problems that you can’t resolve, I’d be happy to get on a 30 minute call over zoom with you to take a look to see if I can help. My setup is as follows: The Elgato Prompter, their new Facecam Pro, which is 4K 60 frames per second, I have both a Black Editon Blue Yeti and a set of headphones. I also have the Elgato camera hub software, the Stream Deck plus (the one with the knobs) and I also have Elgato's WaveLink software. I have some text on the Prompter that I want to read as I'm making a video with either StreamYard or Zoom and I was not able to access anything on the Prompter from either software. I hope this makes more sense. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for this! I had just received mine but not sure why but when on display mode I drag the Skype application which I can then see in teleprompter. Great. But I can’t then click on this in the application like call, chat etc. when I hover over menu, help I can click and type and also open other applications but can’t type in any once opened. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance

I am not sure what that is happening as this is not default behaviour. Can you check your display seeings on your computer to see what the Elgato Propter is recognised as? Also make sure you have the latest camera hub software.

@ thank you, I did check everything. It seems like when I don’t have the camera hub software open I can use the prompter as a second display and everything works. I can click on the center of the screen and type etc. when the camera hub software is open then I can’t. Is this normal?

@@RiffsRhythm hi - no not normal. However Camera Hub will display various content depending how you have this configured. Check this ->With Camera Hub open - from the main menu click "configure camera hub" - Click the "Prompter Tab" at the top and then under the "Content" setting what is this set to? It should be Display to act as a monitor and then Text for teleprompter script mode. Right now for TikTok streaming you would have to use a custom RTMP at TikTok would provide you. This also depends on your account with TikTok on whether you are able to stream live to that service or not.

Oh nooo Neil, I really don't need that fan inside the Quad Deck Link disturbing me on my desk. OK; I'll take it from the start: I've watched this video earlier but then the Quad Link wasn't on my horizon. Now when I'm very soon updating to a new laptop and changing my complete configuration in the new studio --> bring it on, maybe... My config since the pandemic was an M1 Mac Mini (16GB RAM, 512GBSSD) using 3 cameras at the same time, and I could use the fourth as well.. For the moment, two cameras are connected with CamLinks by Elgato right into the USB-A ports on the Mac Mini, and the third camera.... no matter what I tried, I couldn't make the third CamLink work. I've tired connecting it to the OWC Thunderbolt Dock, the Wavlink Triple 4K Display Docking Station that's also Thunderbolt 4, nothing worked until I remembered my trusty AtemMini Pro... I'm connecting the third camera into that and then with USB-C from AMP into one of the docks. That worked fine albeit "only" in 1080p. This isn't such an issue apart from having lots of cables running through the room because I have the cameras on a single C-Stand in order to move them freely inside the studio and then have different shooting angles. With the Mini locked on the main desk it was a process. And no, I couldn't move the whole desk unfortunately. I've now got several ideas and one of them is to get this Quad DeckLink and the enclosure, place them on the mobile desk I've just bought, and then hook up all cameras into it together with the laptop. Likewise portable as the C-stand but sturdier and _everything_ can be in one same place all the time... So going to the conclusions you've made about the BlackMagic driver being locked to one app, I'd better make sure I activate it with the Ecamm running, otherwise I'm smoked. I guess it's the same problem in Microsoft Teams but maybe their video can also grab the virtual cam from Ecamm, still haven't tested that.

Hello, Were you able to record 4K DCI 60fps 10 bit 4.4.4 with this card? I read that the resolution of this card drops to 8 bits in 4K DCI 60 fps. If you have a chance to try it, your answer is very important to me. Thank you.

If you look at the specs as I don’t have the available equipment to test right now. HDMI colour accuracy is supported at 4:4:4 up to 4KDCI 30FPS not 60FPS. It maybe worth checking with BMD support for clarification. www.blackmagicdesign.com/pt/products/decklink/techspecs/W-DLK-36

Hi yes, you want to have a light on you, which will help the camera expose for your face correctly. You need to balance the harsh backlight with additional lighting on you.

Do you mean Teleprompter App? The Elgato prompter acts as a second monitor for your PC or MAC. It comes with it's own teleprompter software using the Elgato Camera hub. You can also use any teleprompter app as long as you can use it with a second monitor. Hope this helps.

@@johnhe9984 I’m not sure I follow. The StreamDeck + can be used with the Camera Hub / Prompter plugin. The dials are used for one thing the buttons the other. Not all functions are available for the dials / rotary controls.
