Love the Lumber/Sheet Plywood rack bro. Guess what? I’m sending the lumber rack that I just received back and making yours. It’s exactly what I needed. Thnx for idea!

Perfect KZbin video. To the point. No longer than it needed to be. Entertaining and informative. Well done! And the rack is great too!

I just wanted to stop back by after a few years of first seeing this vid and let you know that i really like the ease and adaptability of this design. I'm on my 3rd iteration of your design and plan to move forward with this for the framework as I am building out this new shop. Thanks dude👍

This editing is Wes Anderson coded. Amazing work from the teamwork, to the job, the music, instruction, & of course editing. Amazing. My spring project is doing two of these.

And how does vinegar alone look like? Seen plenty of vids it with steel wool but it always gives a grey blacking look, I really just want an aged look.
@eedom69Ай бұрын
Thanks I got some 2x4's I am trying to grey but the vinegar and steel wool is turning it more of a purplish brown color and slight grey in some spots. Not 100% on wood type but maybe spruce or fir. Any ideas how to get it more grey at this point?

If I forget to put back the battery connector cover and the display cables covers, that shouldn't cause a problem right? I applied the new adhesive and closed the screen forgetting to reinstall those.

Sketchy; no explanation. Was there any stain involve?--what was the vinegar about? Not helpful--too many frenetic shots. Not good at all.

What purpose is that cross piece bolted to the wall at the bottom serving? It doesn't look like it is bearing any weight. It is unlikely that the vertical braces are transferring any weight in the the bottom cross brace. I like the design though and may get a chance to make my own version for a project.

You seem to have lost (easy) access to your outlet, that is now blocked by sheet goods once loaded. Easy workaround: mount a powerstrip with a 90° plug underneath your rack.
@pedrobisono7475 ай бұрын
only thing is the plug its wasted space now your should have moved it over or repurpose it

Excellent.... but you're supposed to age the vinegar and steel wool for weeks and let it rust....

Nice table. I'm looking to do something similar to this my children. My wife is worried about the table flipping if you lean on the edge. Curious how sturdy this has been for you.

great Video I'm working on a new replacement Gun Stock for an old rifle 100 years old looking to age the wood but still keep some reddish brown color What do you recommend for using stain in conjunction with the Vinegar and steel wool option water base or oil base

I was literally looking at these same store bought stains last night for a mixed wood (ply & oak) project. I've done vinegar and steel wool on several things, but your video shows me a more controlled way to apply it. And I always waited the two days. Also, I usually leave the top on. What happens? It eats through the metal eventually. I considered spar varnish to avoid ambering over time, but I think I'll stick to water based poly or lacquer. Thank you for a super useful video!

Just found the channel. I have been watching less than 30 minutes total, and I love that you use big box store tools that every day (like my family) people use. Makes it authentic and feels like the projects are doable. We used your video yesterday on a build and it worked nicely 👌 Thanks. Love the flag as well

Having to watch a basically interesting video on MUTE because the KZbinr chooses to drown everything in too loud and terrible music is a reason to NOT watch any more videos of this channel. And: 👎👎 for same reason. Is this a 'thing' for guys who want to show how cool and tough they are? 🤔

Question: Did you stick magnet to magnet or did you stick magnet to washer? It looks like you're going magnet to magnet and the dude from "I Like To Make Stuff" went magnet to washer. I think magnet to magnet would hold better, provided polarities are correct.

GREAT VIDEO, DEMO AND SIMPLE BUT VITAL EXPLANATION. THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!!!! QUESTION......DEPENDING ON WHAT SPACING IS REQUIRED ON THE TOP WHEN INSTALLING THE RAIL. LETS SAY IT CAN BE BETWEEN 1 3/8 -1 3/4 BUT THE THICKNESS OF THE DOOR IS ONLY 1 1/4 ....CAN YOU JUST RUN A BOARD ON THE TOP (BACKSIDE) WITH A THICKNESS THAT WOULD FALL IN THE REQUIRED RANGE. ??? THANK YOU AGAIN

Thanks. I imagine you could dilute the wool/vinegar to desired lightness with more vinegar? 🤔
@GadgetsandGrain8 ай бұрын
Interesting idea. I wonder if the diluting liquid (if it’s not vinegar) would interact with the solution. What are you thinking?
