Ran into this issue recently, HOWEVER, I just found out it s only happening on my Unreal Engine 4 games for some reason. Spiderman Remastered runs 100% no issues at all, tested for around 4 - 6+ straight hrs in different sessions. So I refuse to believe this is a hardware issue, at least in my case seems to be software related. U guys might want to check on that first, just to make sure.

Same only thing that sort of worked for me was changing to that GE proton it whatever and putting the settings low in game but leaving the deck at 60fps with no thermal lock. It will play for a little bit but then freeze black screen and crash or glitch the whole screen to the point it messes up outside the game.
