I remember this episode so much as it was accidentally recorded after The Wizard of Oz on our VHS tape. And I watched this VHS tape so many times, it was part of the tradition to watch it all every time!

I wrote in to Jim'll Fix It once in 1987. I asked Jim if I could go to Greendale, meet Postman Pat and deliver the post with him. It came true, and I've still got the medal and a VHS of my appearance on the show. He was a really nice guy.

haha i remember going to London in the early 90's with my school to see this bullshit live. Spectacularly patronising and staged rubbish, we all knew j.s. was creepy, a bit odd once the cameras weren't rolling. lol one of the only reasons this show had "good ratings" enough to continue was because if I remember rightly Doctor Who was on straight after it, and a lot of people switched it on whilst this was on.
