when this show came out, id never read the books and seemed pretty obvious that 'johnlock' was happening then final season comes out and it turned out to be a complete queer bait by the writers, just another disappointment of a queer storiy which was really good in the beginning and got ruined

I used to think that this show was gay because all the BBC shows I've seen (Merlin and Dr. Who) tend to be just a little gay, so I just thought it was a side effect of BBC producing. Then I read the books. Nope. They are so gay for each other and it's so obvious but nobody says anything about it. I believe that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, had the time period he wrote in been more forgiving and he hated Sherlock less, it could have been a gay love story-- even if they never got together. To be fair though, Conan Doyle has said Sherlock is as likely to fall in love with someone as a machine is. On the flip side, Sherlock constantly talks about how uninterested he is in women, so honestly it could lean either way.

It's my full belief that John isn't gay, but he and Sherlock are still a couple. John is, sexually, attracted to women. But he is romantically attached to Sherlock. Sherlock does everything but blatantly say that he's asexual, and he clearly has feelings for John. This explains John's 'girlfriends' in the show and why none of them lasted very long. They were more like hookups he was using to be sexually satisfied and Sherlock had no problem with this.

So many good scenes. Where Irene is telling John that they are a couple, and _John doesn't rebut this_ They then both realized Sherlock is nearby and has heard this entire conversation! My fav part was where Irene tells John that she texts him all the time, but he never responds. When John says that's not possible because Sherlock ALWAYS responds, she replies, "Does that make me special?" John says "Maybe." A few minutes later, Sherlock responds to Irene's texts. Subtly telling her _you're not special_

At second 4.45 they did THE romance movie cliche with one person saying: "blablablasomethin is beautiful ✨" and the other person the lookin at the first person and agreeing 😢❤

"Sherlock is actually a girl's name." sounds like Sherlock's version of that. "Sherlock is actually a girl's name." = "John Hamish Watson, if you're looking for baby names." So basically, (i think) Sherlock's (supposed) last message to John before leaving to go to wherever is technically a confession that he's jealous of Mary getting to marry John. ..man.
