Why is there a rail diesel car service from Beaverton to Wilsonville? That's the most logical railway to convert to an extension of the Red Line. I watched a Trains Are Awesome* video on it and nobody rides it. If there was frequent light rail transit supported by denser development people would use it. *Or Miles in Transit, or Classy Whale

That service, the WES Commuter, is only a rush-hour weekday service. It would be nice as a true Max Line.

Not only is bus service pretty much the thing hybrids were built for with all of the stopping/starting, but if (crosses fingers) Trimet ever embraces or at least experiments with trolleybusses it will be easier to retrofit these to work on wires then conventional diesel busses while unlike pure battery busses we don't need any charging infrastructure when we haven't built wires yet. On the one hand I think Trimet should replace all busses with hybrids when they break down but on the other when they supposedly plan to go all electric by 2040 (I swear it was 2030 at one point) and don't plan on putting up wires I can see why buying hybrids rather then battery busses would be counter-productive.

The Intel routes Jones Farm and Ronler Acres are employee shuttle service to Orenco and Fair Complex Max station. Charter Up route is for construction workers only. Swan Island shuttle only went into FedEx parking due to the lack of open business open. This made for more faster and more frequent service. When there is something going on at the Moda Center, it becomes more difficult to maintain the service on time. PIO bus route is for students and employees of Lewis and Clark College only.

There are no changes to the 33 on 08/24/2024. There were some proposed changes that they took public comment on, but they aren't making those changes. The 154 disappears, with the 34 taking over the Clackamas Heights end of the route. The 76 takes over the Willamette Falls Dr service to 10th St, where it gets onto 205 to go to Tualatin. The 153 starts running from the Lake O TC to the Willamette District, with a timed transfer with the 76 at 10th St & 8th Ave. And the 99 is discontinued. The changes to the 31, 32, 33, and 79 that were in the master plan did not make it to the 08/24/2024 changes. The 33 remains on 5th St in OC, the 31 still ends at OC TC, as does the 79, and the 32 continues to serve the McLoughlin neighborhood, Willamette Falls Hospital, and OC HS on it's way to CCC. No changes to any of those four routes. AFAIK, the changes proposed in the OC area, except for those involving the 154 and 99, just didn't cut it. For example, putting bus stops along 7th St for the 33 would have been a major traffic impact, and that's one of the reasons why the 33 remains on 5th, and the 32 remains on 9th. And people still wanted to get from WFH to he Hilltop area without having to ride down to OC TC first. The 33 isn't even on the list of routes with significant time adjustments.

Extra board ruby operators have been burning in trains for the last few months. But even us operators don't know yet when they will be released for service. Hopefully it will be soon though because we are adding 3 more trains to the mainline from elmonica every day and we already are at the limit on available cars for service. When I drove by there recently I didn’t see a 51 sign at that Fred Meyer stop. I wonder where they turn around there ? My guess is they circle around Fred Meyer , but why no stop ? BCTransit in Canada recently installed umo on all their transit systems, and you can use the same card across systems. It's nearly a province-wide transit card (with the notable exception of Vancouver, which has its own card based on what essentially is the predessor to umo), which is very convenient as you can use the same balance a across systems. I'm not really sure how this is setup, maybe they have it as one big system with a bunch of different fare zones?
