Glad you fixed it. Thanks for your video. The easiest way to check if the pump is at fault is to put the car in P or N and rev the engine. If the steering becomes lighter at higher revs compared to idle, the likelihood is that the pump is broken/on its way out.

Hi mate, could you let me know what the black and white wire, the black wire, and black and yellow wires are controlling, am I correct in thinking these are running too immobiliser?

Hi, not 100% sure but those wires run to the ECU. The immobiliser module is in the dash connected to the ignition ring - you can trace from the little black box.

Thanks John. I bought replacement wires from an online auto electrician store. You can use the wiring diagram to buy the correct size/weight and colour.

It’s standard VW diesel injector hose - not sure about the ID - but if you search eBay you’ll see listings. I have Mitchellin latitude cross fitted to my VW Tiguan 4motion and to be honest after 11 years on this brand I can't see me changing. My car's NOT a proper off road vehicle but as an SUV green laner these cannot be faulted..Their bloody brilliant on road to..

Thanks for commenting David. I agree, the Latitude Cross was a tyre I was considering but it doesn't have 3PMSF rating for winter in Europe - otherwise it's a great choice.

No problem, I'll get an update up in the next few weeks. I've just changed the compressor as the original one eventually failed, but the AC system is great.

what's the basic measurement of the space in the back ? is it more than 6 feet?

NO, from the back door to roughly back of the seats it's only about 170cm. However, with the passenger seat folded forward then there is more than 6 feet for sure, but that's only one one side.

Nicely done looks awesome. The diesel however, boooo! I'm going to make mine a panel also, but I think I will widen the fenders so they really bulge out like the old cars do. And maybe put in some fat tires and rwd with an electric motor, so it's a hybrid that can do rear wheel burnouts.

I had exactly the same problem with my ajt engine. This video helped me to solve the problem, thank you very much! Currently, part no. 0281002265 is difficult to buy, but I replaced it with no. 0281002650 and it works.

got exact same ajt 88hp 2.5l, doing the injector and power adjustments now, thanks for the video my question would be, do you care to change the gearbox? anything specific i need to know installing the intercooler?

Glad the video was helpful. I've done nothing to uprate the gearbox - I did have it rebuilt with a 5th gear mod when I first bought the van way before doing these upgrades. I used an alloy intercooler for an L200 with pipes/hoses to suit.
