Man, it has to be surreal beyond belief to have somebody just straight up say to you, "You almost died".

Billy and Jimmy really are two of the gems of 90s music. If you don't get all nostalgic listening to "1979" or just manic and pissed listening to "Bullet with...", then you really didn't live in the 90s.

If anyone saw the full show, its performances, and billy's interviews no one can deny the beautiful intricacies of billy's lyrics and music and the significance of the sentimental provocation and the bold decisions he has taken both in the past and present, regardless if it's the "new" lineup or "new" pumpkins, this is just as beautifully nit and composed together as any old pumpkins record or era, it's to bad not many of casual, nor cult fans or even new people to billy's music don't see how beautiful his work is lately in this era and point in time, and even in the post "Adore" and "Machina" era, and so on, especially in these performances. I believe that billy still has something, something special, in fact I don't think he has lost anything. I just feel so bad that he's projecting and sharing something so beautiful, even helping people! , but he's constantly nagged and caught in nuanced arguments about new music and old music, and his decisions and notions etc. and all the peril and shit he has to go through and how people don't understand the conditions and circumstances billy lives in. Even though it's different, p'rsey MCIS or Siamese dream it still stands alone as a great collection of work and doesn't necessarily mean it's worse, in fact, not even on its own merit, even considering, past pumpkins offerings, this stands alone as something great and just as respectable. I mean, it doesn't mean when you don't understand something, it's not great, in fact, look at all the people in the world, and all the varied opinions.... okay, i'll give an example, one guy likes an album, one guy hates it... this is what i mean, everybody operates differently physiologically, so it's about a product that can be explored and identified on all avenues, but even though it has a narrow corner shop, don't mean it's bad, it doesn't mean that you or the majority of people don't like the new pumpkins, that means it's bad, it just means you probably don't understand (since their are two sides to the whole thing), and that's fine, a lot people don't understand a lot of things, including me, so just leave it alone, but yeah that's where i draw the line, I mean, i'll use an example of the circus, a lot people are against the mistreatment of animals in the circus right? some are even against the very use of animals, so the person just doesn't go, leaves it alone, walks out, the right thing to do... they don't tear down the goddam place and go on a rampant onslaught, like if you're not content with something, that's okay, i'm fine with that, just leave it alone, in fact the best way to disregard something is with apathy. A lot people despise him for continuing or for his general direction as a contemporary artist, but i think he has ball's and heart for taking everyone's shit and well.... just voicing what he wants to say, the truth, gracefully and going against the world, and the tide of public life and media. it's ironic and quite an obtuse process because i thought people would remember the pumpkins and what they represented and their "F*&^ you" attitude, i don't really understand why people are surprised with him and what he's doing (Being contemporary/evolutionary/graceful) because that was what the pumpkins were about in the first place and the other argument that without the old lineup is not as good now that there gone, because billy WAS the band, he played ALL instruments (excluding percussion) and wrote all the lyrics. I hope, one day, it will all fall in place, and billy will get the same mutual gift that he deserves and shares with everyone else
