In Chapter 17, Claude should have remained in his Azure Moon position in Crimson Flower. What, did he just grant the raving Dmitri and his crackhead roadies the Bridge of Myrddin, after taking it for himself? In fact, they should have switched positions; Dmitri should have had Claude's position in Chapter 17 of Azure Moon. I believe the reason they DIDN'T do this is that they messed up the three-way-battle AI; both sides prioritize your units over fighting themselves. Thus they had to try their hardest to set the battlefield up in a way where you weren't mobbed instantly, for some semblance of a "Let them fight" strategy to actually work.
@auraguard02123 ай бұрын
To give you an idea of how much of a FLUKE Three Houses was (sandwiched between Fates and Engage), Silver Snow was the story Intelligent Systems actually wrote, and the only route they had completed when they handed it off to Koei.
@auraguard02123 ай бұрын
Your problems with all four routes boil down to "Byleth is a terrible character and the writers either knew it or didn't know it at all". xD

Combining Fodlan and Almayra would be an "evil" ending. One culture or the other would be consumed and destroyed. And even if Khalid was reasonable and worked to promote harmony, the differences would be a powder keg that would eventually go off. Its why people always stay primarily within their own cultures and borders. There are exceptions of course, but as a whole, people are different and NOT interchangable. Peace between the two in a treaty or alliance? Yes. Merging the two? It would be cruelty to the people of one or the others culture and a recipe for disaster. Even in the real world, people think this would work but its never worked in over 8000 years of history and it never will due to human nature, no matter how advanced things get. We are seeing these disastrous consequences irl playing out even now..... Heres the hard to face (for some) truth....There have ALWAYS been "exceptions". As in exceptional people who rise above their born culture and people to choose to fully assimilate into another. And such people should not be shunned, and never have been in history. But when you extend that welcome to the "not so exceptional" they will NEVER assimilate, because they don't want to...They will instead seek to reforge society in their own image to the detriment of the host.

There's only ~350 comments so this comment getting seen two years later is a possibility. My boy, The Great Wall of Duscur, The Mountain's role model, The GOAT of all GOATs, Dedue willingly sacrifices himself to secure Dimitri's escape. If you play the paralogue and win, The Indomitable Death Knight Slayer Dedue will be "rescued" by his countrymen prior to his execution just after they bury him under a literal mountain that The Immortal Iron Fist Dedue willingly takes a nap under because he is way too powerful.

I think a cool idea would be him making a United Kingdom of fodlan where Edelgard, Rhea, Dimitri, and Claude all have some power. I think this fits into the theme of all cultures having worth. His route would be trying to make a mutual peace between the church, kingdom, and empire. Also to make his gameplay unique he could have 0 route or boss kill maps and instead all of them end through schemes that kill the least people.

Silver snow is like if the fire emblem 1 remake Marth wasn’t actually a character for 90% of the game and the protag was the self insert guy

Wouldn’t CF be considered the secret route since for CF it requires taking specific steps in order to get into it? And to be honest, CF feels more like the afterthought of all the routes. Less chapters, less cinematics in crucial moments, and they skip over a lot of important information.
@Seraphielium6 ай бұрын
Yeah tbh I think they should have done it like Fates where you choose which path (church or edelgard) right in that moment, that way nothing is missed and it seems so much smoother

Putting Alois into a brawling class before war master as he needs a few levels fixes his speed and maked great use of his high strength base. I believe Alois is one of the most underrated units because of how late he can join but he usually gets extremely good if you invest even a little in him and in my playthroughs usually overshadows most melee combat units depending on the route. I find him better than most combat units in AM for example as other than dimitri and dedue I find Felix better as an archer, Ingrid has bad stats and and Sylvain gets carried by his relic. I was baffled to hear he is even considered as a bad unit when his bases are that good compared to someone like seteth who in my opinion only is decent with high investment. It does help that Alois has really solid base weapon ranks and easy access to one of the most broken skills in the game but in my opinion at his join time he doesn't even need it. He'll either one shot or double ennemies he wants to kill anyways as long as you give him a silver weapon. (Sometimes steel or gauntlets are more than enough) he is like raphael but with none of his problems mainly hit rates. Easily carries most of my maddening runs where I never fail to recruit him. At this point I'd marry him if the game let me. Also Hanneman war master is not just a meme You can make it work with stat boosters and make him super versatile and reliable I promise stat boosters are literally hrowing everywhere in this game and there aren't that many better uses for them anyways. He can have raphael's strength with better speed and a magic stat of 40 by level 40 making great use of magic weapons espceially in azure moon with crusher.

Having an escape chapter sounds pretty rad. And more chapters where you actually fight the Agarthans is obviously unobjectionable. But to be honest, all the stuff about Eva and rewriting the story sounds like ok fanfiction at best. For one, it’s totally unnecessary: if it makes perfect sense in universe to fight the Agarthans only after defeating Rhea, because they’re in a temporary alliance with them, then that’s that. It not being as climactic is a rather small price to pay if there’s no internal inconsistencies. Especially considering that this haa been set up from part 1. And I say this because, imo, TH’s worldbuilding and story is made great by how grounded and real it feels. Second, I think it ruins Edelgard’s character by making it too personal. She’s someone who resolutely does things that are (by themselves) wrong because she’s convinced of the moral necessity of her end-goal. This would be presenting her as not really invested in that and instead just doing it for (almost) entirely personal reasons. That’s why I think the personal side of her motives is just left in the preventative way which already exists in the text: her siblings got killed or lost their mind because of it. She doesn’t want anything like that to be possible for anyone ever again, so she wants to make a society which doesn’t value crests. It occasions her ideals but it doesn’t determine them. I also don’t think the Leicester alliance is written badly in CF. There’s discord among nobles between the pro-kingdom and pro-empire ones. This is already enough to see that it makes sense for the empire to try and use that as leverage for conquering the whole alliance territory which will make them stronger when facing the kingdom. This is also why I’m unsure the scenario for ch13 here makes sense. Claude unifies the alliance enough to make some kind of consensus decision on attacking Garreg Mach? How? And why? Wouldn’t that just get Leicester more involved in the war than necessary?

Seteth isn't really the Lord of the route, Byleth is. The issue with Silver Snow wasn't Seteth, but the lack of Rhea and when she finally returned she just goes berserk which felt extremely forced. Even though how the route ended was pretty dumb, I ended up really liking Seteth as a character. Nowhere near as much as I liked Claude and Dimitri as characters, but he was still a cool guy.

My idea for Silver Snow is that it should have been the "good" ending, where everyone gets to live, or at the very least gets to resolve their character arc before dying. I also think it should be a hidden route. To do that I think Edelgard's coronation should be mandatory for both routes, and then when Edelgard is revealed to be the Flame Emperor she assumes that Byleth was aware and had betrayed the church unless you have Rhea's B support, in which she'll believe you if you tell her you didn't know The route would begin in a similar tone to Dimitri's, only with Rhea this time. This would change, though, when Edelgard tries to destroy your army's morale by revealing everything she thinks she knows about the church, both the true things like how Rhea is an immortal dragon who has been suppressing progress for over a millenia, and the false things like blaming Rhea for the rebellions that lead to the formation of Faergus and the Alliance. This would cause many people to lose faith in her and Rhea would get more and more agressive until she finally comes to realize that her hiding so much is what has caused Edelgard to believe what TWSTD have told her and eventually she's able to reach a truce with the Empire in order to storm Shambhala and to kill Thales and Nemesis. Also Dimitri learns the truth about Duscur and is able to get some amount of closure, maybe he makes a heroic sacrifice, and Rhea, as part of the terms of her truce with Edelgard, has to step down as archbishop and fly off into the sunset

Why do you dislike Annette? 😂 I am not that mad that "those who slither in the dark" are ignored. The blue lions killed sll of the leaders, right? Even Cornelia. When Dimitri and Hapi have a S together, it's written that the too dealt with the evil people together.

I know I'm 3 years too late, but I think the change in the battle of the 3 houses should've been different. I think it should be a slighty altered version of that map. Edelgard's forces should've been overwhelming to either Dimitri or Claude. You should have to choose: either I go all in and risk losing units to the massive imperial army, let Dimitri hit the wall and get destroyed, but weaken it enough to go in, or attempt to attack somewhat alongside him, but risking his troupes attacking you sometimes. I would also change it so Dimitri's units will be agressive against you, but given the chance they would rather attack Eddelgard's troops.

I remember where I made a couple of chapters before Beyond Escape where the Empire had to repell attacks from Alliance (in this version Claude realised that the Empire's invasion was inevetable and decided to make the first strike) and the Kingdom-Church culminating on it's version of Battle at Gronder Field before the Empire, having repelled the Kingdom-Church and the Alliance decided to conquer the latter due to it being more optimal than attacking the Kingdom-Church already

Oh and also the bombing of Ariahnrod doesn't happen and Thales antagonises Edelgard more in spite of that

Chapter 13 is similar to your but they are lead by Erwin (yeah he is loyal to the Alliance here) and Lysithea with Marianne (I know her A support but there could be some explaination for here being here, shut up), Ignatz and Raphael also being fought here (with the latter dying if defeated) Chapter 14: Kingdom-Church blackmail Duke Gerth into siding with them, forcing Edelgard to quell the insurrection. The fought units are Duke Gerth, Seteth, Gustave as bosses with Flayn, Sylvain and Annette (who dies here) being optional enemies Chapter 15 is an improved version of Bernadetta & Petra's paralogue (though it would change their paralogue). The bosses are Catherine, Shamir and Cyril with Ingrid and Mercedes as optional enemies Chapter 16 is the battle at Gronder Field. There are some different units + Lorenz and Ashe die but not much more to say Chapters 17 and 18 are the same but with Raphael and Marianne being present respectively Chapters 19 and 20 remain unchanged save for the latter's ending as well as Cornelia surviving Chapter 21 is the same with the only change being the appearance of Gustave and in the end a Javelin of Light is sent in order to assasinate her. This is the breaking point when Edelgard realizes that the Agarthans need to be stopped immediately Chapter 22: Edelgard in response to the previous events attacks both Church-Kingdom as well as the Agarthans. Ashe, Gilbert and Annette are replaced by Myson, Cornelia and Thales respectively (Thales is an enemy commander of the third army). In the end in spite of killing both Rhea and Thales she feels exhausted, that she needs time to recover and returns to Garreg Mach In Chapter 23 Garreg Mach is attacked by Agarthans lead by Myson. In spite of being defeated they are able to weaken Edelgard further in order to achieve their true goal: turn Edelgard into a Hegemon Husk. They succeed and similarly to SS Chapter 21 the player's army has to stop their frenzied ruler from razing Fodlan. Dependent on player's choice they can either put Edelgard out of her misery or spare her and give her a chance to recover in addition to rebuilding Garreg Mach and Fodlan
