This is really cool. Do you have to do anything to the ardiuno chip before doing this or does it just work?

How long did you wait after the second hand of polyurethane? Sometimes happens that the polyurethane layer remains sticky for weeks. Was it your case?

I'm pretty sure that sheet rock spackle shouldn't be used with lacquer paint. It use bonds or buddy coat. Automotive body products.

My question is how do I know if my reel to reel has the ability to playback the recorded signal in real time? It appears I have two heads. I'm assuming one is for recording and the other is for playing, so what does it look like when someone has to actually rewind and play the tape back into the daw?

It hurt my eyes to watch you do EVERY SINGLE STEP wrong! (1) bare wood. Dont use spackle! It will shrink over time and soak up the primer diffrent than the wood. It also takes a long time to dry. Use bondo instead. (2) the primer . U should have used rustoleum filler primer. If u had you could have put on 4 HEAVY wet coats and been done with it. (2) NEVER EVER EVER EVER apply metallic paints in thick wet coats. Apply in medium coats and change the orientation (direction) you apply it to avoid tiger stripes and after you achieve full coverage you then add a (drop) coat this where you dust it on from a distance so that the metallics lay right so it dont look modeled. (3) the clear coat. The type of clear you selected is going to reset the previously applied coat which will give it a cloudy appearance. Its best to use the UPOL acrylic instead and give it a tac coat wait 1 minute then one heavy coat and let it dry or even better use a 2k aerosol clear by spray max or eastwood. (4) buffing by hand is not recommended. You will have dry dull spots in a very short time .

Although I definitely plan on replacing the two prong AC cable on my Silvertone 1483 tube head, I am considering installing an IEC Jack. In that way I'm not concerned with cable storage when I move the amp and I can use a multitude of other cables. Thanks for the informative video!

I set the rails 1.5" from the front edge to assist in protecting gear knobs. I also use nuts and bolts to secure rails to the cabinet. Plus, i like to set the rails either .75" or 1.5" down from the top and use internal cleats of solid wood for extra stability. I enjoy your channel and just subbed!

Nice build! I definitely prefer wood over plastic; I include a rubber pad from a hardware store on to my first two where the beater strikes the case. That spring loaded hens is a great idea! I've seen other bills where some sort of legs or stabilizers mounted on the other side of the case and I may do that for my next one as well. Thanks for sharing! 😊

@MerwinMusic Absolutely beautiful build! The binding is such a nice touch, really brings a professional look to a custom build! I have a question for you: I am working on a similar concept build- using a Fender Tex-Mex bridge pickup and, for the “neck” position, some JourneyTek piezos (looks to be the same ones you used)… anyways, I was wondering if there was a signal difference between the different types of pickups, and if so, how did you deal with it?
