I just finished bingewatching season 1 of SGU and I have to admit that I have loved this character from the beginning, even though it's very hard to like at first. I fell in love with him when Young put a hand on his shoulder and Rush jolted away startled. I felt pity for such a lonely and misunderstood character, and after "Human" I loved him even more.

i bet if he was still alive today he would've garnered more awards. you are truly missed.

BritishGurl2 SGU is on netflix uk now so you can see what happens. It's really tragic. He had major issues coz his first wife died and Amanda was the only other woman he loved, and she loved him too. but she was badly disabled with a respirator so they couldn't exactly have a normal relationship. When he gets trapped on the ship she gets to visit him in another woman's body so they can actually have a proper relationship for a while. But it all goes to crap. You'll see if you watch. it really was the best relationship in the whole show. They were adorable together.

I'm currently watching Stargate Universe on Netflix, because I've recently became a fan of Robert Carlyle from watching Once Upon a Time (OUAT) on ABC on Sunday nights. If you like shows that are not only Sci-Fi, I highly recommend watching OUAT where Carlyle plays Rumpelstiltskin/Mr.Gold. He is very prominently featured in the episodes Desperate Souls and Skin Deep.His OUAT character(s) have endured great loss & built up walls making it hard for others to reach him, like Rush.
