The Hot Mic With John Rocha &Jeff Sneider have reported on some of the early discord at WBD and also through initial comments by those who have seen the new movie they say it is underwhelming of course it is very far from being finished being made. WBD communications dept is in overdrive lately so that has led to resentment of Gunn. A palpable feeling that they wish he would just limit the communiques and not hint at timelines then change that. Anyway their show is interesting it often reports stories weeks ahead of time. For movie news and the stuff they discuss u can watch their videos and past playlists they have had some very interesting movie news and development talk for a long time. The Imprint Neverending Story box compares better to the special edition deluxe laserdisc sets like The Wizard of Oz, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Amadeus, etc. released in their day. The extras are full-size replicas of the originals, including the book. Most swag in 4k and blu ray releases are downsized to package and display at retailers more easily. As for the movies, the German and US releases vary most noticeably in the score, as well as some early scenes better clarifying Bastian's real world life. Giorgio Moroder's music is not in the German release, which makes that version feel a little darker in tone at times. I can’t offer conment on the scans as I am still waiting for delivery of my copy, which I got directly from ViaVision / Impact for $150. I can, however, confirm that the discs are all region free. Also I am told it is limited to 1000 copies. So is it worth the price? For the hardcore fans, I would think absolutely. For the casual collector, maybe wait for a movies-only release, if their license agreement permits one. But I still own my deluxe laserdisc box sets mentioned above, so I'm suspecting I'll have no regrets adding this set to my collection.

Fair enough review. I liked it the first time and enjoyed it even more the second time. The juxtaposition of the tone of the film and the reality of the situation sustained me throughout. Only a director such as Hitchcock could have accomplished this.

I have INVASION on blue ray I got years ago & it's not a great movie to me. Also stars Daniel Craig the last 007.🙄😄 Stick with the original or the 70's remake.

It’s definitely an indie film and the grainy look was intentional. They even add film scratches in several scenes. It’s what I was expecting.
