How did you go about tapping into your filler neck?

From water source I use a screen filter similar to the basic one at the water pump, then a pressure regulator, then a water filter, then my potable water hose, then another filter, and then it finally enters the rv so I can flush it down the toilet.

Its press regulator at spigot then filter then your white water hose and connect to ur rv. Always run water for a min before any connection ps i always spray disinfectant spray on water connection before touching. You know the dude before me washed his sewer line from water spigot

Thank you! Turns out my problem WAS toilet paper, but I never would have gotten it out any other way - it was packed in the groove of the valve and the more I tried to close it, the tighter it was packed. The repair went easier than I thought it would.

What do you do when it don't open?

Is there a switch to go back and forth between city water and fresh water tank??

This happened to my 3 week old Rockwood in Gillette Wyoming. Filled Water tank in -20F weather. Tank froze solid. Pushed floorboard up 6” broke the frame etc. what a disaster. As a safety I leave the FW tank drain open at all times unless I intend to fill the tank first off grid adventure. The bypassing from city circuit to FW tank has happened several times to me. As others have commented usually when I got too lazy to use the PSI regulator and over boosted the RV water circuit.

I am a new RV owner, so when we first got here the water worked fine but now the water isn't working inside the RV however it is coming out of the faucet and hose... What could be the problem? I filled fresh water tank and I can use if pump is on but again I'm still learning about everything. Help please!

Yeh, mine is doing the exact same thing, I don't want to touch it because it's only 2 months old...still under warranty, so I have wait for a tech to call me back and go from there, otherwise I would have already had it fixed by now. Great job though.

Did this fix once so far and it made it worse. Mind, when I ran the pump, I only opened one tap. Mayhaps I'll try it again with more of them opened.

I guess lots of RVs are having that problem. Last weekend I left my city water connected and later I heard a pop sound ( thinking that was my RV seating at the ground ), again another pop sound. When I saw my RV floor I notice something wasn’t right, the floor had a bump….I rushed to turn off the city water and opened the drain valves under the trailer. I was thinking how could my fresh water tank be filled? Well, bingo. Now I have no idea what those pop sounds could be. I notice some part of my floor is fluffy….not hard as before. For sure I will have some bad news from any RV repair shop. Anyone got same problem? Please let me know.

I like the idea of putting the filter at the RV, though most bacteria are going to fly right through most RV filters. Most bacteria are only about 3-5 microns:/. Bigger stuff that can develop in the hose will for sure get caught! Ty for the info!!!

Easier if you put the seals in place on the pipes first then put the valve it. Great video

My fresh water intake valve was leaking... so I got a new one... I replaced it and hooked my city water hose back up and turned the city water on but I'm getting no water inside my trailer... the only way I got water was to turn on my pump. I've never used the pump before to get the city water inside my trailer. So can anyone tell me what's wrong... I'm just a little old lady living in a 32' travel trailer that I know nothing about. I've been living in it for a yr now with no problems it's a 32' Dutchman aspen it's a 2015

Same problem,hard stop trying to close. I thought the gate valve came out of the groove. Fix is next. Thanks for putting this up,it saves s lot of grief for many of us new to this.

My Class C does not let me shut the little door at the water connection if the water filter is there. So I install the filter back at the water source

I hope to park my travel trailer on my daughter's property after the baby comes but their pad is barely big enough for my trailer much less the tow vehicle and i hate to nag them to take down a tree and make a circle now. Yes hooked to city water. Waterpump leaking. What do i d o fix. Replace,repair etc. 😮 Not sure it works at all. How do you turn it on, is there a fuse. Possible location. Just wznt water gone

Brand new heartland trailer. Only moved once to a permanent spot. Had same issue. It didnt fill all the way up. I noticed with gauge it was 1/3 tank after i emptied it after purchase. I had never put water in fresh tank. So ty fir video. I just did it and i will see if the issue continues.
