Hi, thank you for sharing your experience with us by this great video! My doubt is that you are using a black and white paper, but as a result you get a colourful image, how is that happening? thanks.

@rentsch.andreas I watched your KZbin turmeric tutorial with fascination. The results you achieved are beautiful. I was wondering if these images are stable and archival? Have you exhibited them where they were exposed to indoor light (or light coming through the windows) for an extended period, and did you notice any changes in density or color? Any insights from your experience would be greatly appreciated.

I can't wait to try this, I have been wanting to do natural anthotype printing for a while. Would I be able to use grow lights to expose my prints? I live in a cloudy place, and we are going into fall

So, planning to do turmeric and hand sanitizer painting with a class of middle schoolers. This is exactly what I remember darkroom processing being like...boy do I want to try it! This said, I am "stepping in it" by taking what you've done times 27 individual students? Hmmm...deep thoughts on that! For myself, I am *definitely* going to try this; very cool.

That was soooo very interesting. I wonder if using old cotton sheeting might work. I might just try it, Thank you very much.

We've been trying to do this. 2 days in the sun and it hasn't faded much. Theres a slight difference but nothing to write home about. What have we done wrong?

Hi Kim,,,hmmmm, a bit odd,,,have you mixed the turmeric in ethyl alcohol? It usually only takes around 10minutes. It may also be good to try it on some rubbish inkjet paper. The good quality inkjet photo paper doesnt work as well. Or try some thin card. Hope this is useful J

So, you didn't make the fixing step... Is it right?
@RealPhotographyCompany Жыл бұрын
sorry for late reply... fixing a lumen print is really up to you. It will change the look of the print and may take away some of the subtle shades, but if you want the print to be permanent then you have no alternative but to use fixer. Make sure to wash the print before fixing to ensure even processing, and afterwards to remove the fixer. If you're happy to tuck the print away in a dark box then it's fine not to use fix, but in light the print will keep changing as the paper fogs over time.
