Kolkata metro is only metro which is completely run by Indian railway itself. Still you are talking central is doing nothing 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Central is doing everything.If central is not there then there will be no metro as Bengal government doesn’t even think about metro.

some additional information Traction motor: Traktionssysteme Austria TME 45-40-4 (asynchronous 3-phase AC, 204 kW, 2 per motorised bogie) Gearbox: Traktionssysteme Austria GKD 1-61-346A (single-stage reduction, helical for nose suspended drive, horizontal split gear case, ratio: 115/19 [6.05:1]) I'm not sure who supplied the traction inverter i.e. VVVF drive (the thing that generates the sound the traction motors actually make) though.

Dear admin, I just found out, in Wikipedia of urban rail transit in India page, there's a list of developing metro projects in India as of 6 March 2022, in the list there is Durgapur metro coloring as proposed written in the list end. I want to know if this true or just someone wrongly put it there ? Also in the page there's also a list of abandoned metro project, at the end of the list there is Asansol-Raniganj-Burnpur metro, so is it true that there was this project and got cancelled due to instability of soil by illegal mining ? Please reply or give us information about this. I already asked this on many places on Instagram and Facebook but haven't got any reply yet.
