A mare having a foal means 2 things.. she’s pissed and protective but also in heat! He’s super excited to see his foal but is more excited to go ahead and create the next one!LIKE RN!

Foal was investigating stallion, stallion at one point gave clear body language signs of “ that’s enough, kid” and foal understood. Foals learn from horses the behaviour code, not from humans who usually don’t get horse code, even when horse tries to communicate with them.

We one time had 40 horses with about 2 studs on 200 acres. They formed their own groups, one over there and one over here. Never had problems like that.

Only ever around one stallion that was that "laid back". A palomino named "B". There was a famous quarterhorse named "Impressive". A friend of mine owned a mare from his line. She was awesome, as was he! Love me some horses, folks. Thanks for vids!

The Stallion with his mare and foal is making sure that the Pasture is safe from predators.. their entire purpose is to protect their mares and foals. Stallions with mares and foals are "worriers". This mare may be on her "foal-heat".

Please never do this at home with your horses stallions can kill foals
@basedimperialism

Stallions do not kill their own foals. A stallion will kill the foals of a previous herd's stallion if he takes over the herd, which may include his own foals if he previously mated with one of the mares before taking over. But a stallion will not kill the foals of his own herd's mares, and in fact will often times even take his own colts to patrol the herd with him.

horses are so incredibly expressive oh my god, I know it feels dejected. Did you know that horses can recognize one more facial expression in human than dogs even?
