Stunning. So nice to see a natural head carriage, rather than a forced one. He looks so much more relaxed and happy than many horses you see.

Very impressive to see how communication, position and caracter ( horse and you) are connecting! I enjoy your videos the utmost and hope to see more! I have a youn Lusitano stallion, I play, do groundwork , ride and every day I love it. ( lusitano Aurifero). Last yr. I met P. Bakker and did some double lining and he told me how wonderful the dvd has be made and how much joy it enhanced. I hope one day to visit you, Yvonne

Thank you very much! Passage is a dressage movement (kind of a flying trot in slow motion). I said that he is offering this movement because he's not doing it fully yet, but it's starting to come. At 0:18 you can see the transition from a normal, collected trot to a passage movement. You can see it again at 0:30 and then some steps in between after that.

Thank you :) I don't cause him to bend at the pole directly, I ask him to collect and when he does that correctly the poll will naturally come into that position. It has nothing to do with the reins or the bit, it has to come from the engaged hindquarters.

Hello Orreos The DVD shows how to get started with a horse that has never done long reining before. I have a little clip from it here on youtube (you can see it on the front if you check out my channelpage here), but the DVD shows a lot more of course :)

he's beautiful! i can see why you call him Fabuloso! what breed is he?

He is a P.R.E (Pure Spanish Breed) often called Andalucian. And, no, I am afraid I am not looking to part with him any time soon ;) Thank you for the compliment!

Is that black horse the dappled grey mare's foal from 2008? Also, what Fabuloso is doing (passage, right?) looks like the trot in english riding, but slower. What exactly is passage?
