Block 1 is the block you see now, block 2 from other videos and articles was to have an enclosed weapons bays and block 3 was to improve the computers and offensive and defensive electronics and overall improvements.

I'm sure recent developments have hugely improved Russia's ability to perfect & mass-produce this plane. I mean, just a few years ago, if you had the skills & knowledge to work on 5th generation aircraft, you'd get paid much less in Russia than in the West or China. Now you can have that + the ever-increasing chance to get reported for wrong think by your Colleagues or neighbours or being send to the front in Ukraine. As for Foreign talent - I'm sure people a lining up around the block to work in a Country, that has become as warm to people who don't look Russian as its famous outdoor temperatures.

They copied the F22 with limited technology. That’s why they look similar. They reported this 2yrs ago about how S KOREA was copying as best they could the f22.

US should stop the tech advances. Other countries aren’t developing just copying concepts. Cheap versions. US should play to the enemy not try outmatch itself.

Most S Koreans don't care Trump pull out the US troops and build its own nuclear weapons and nuclear submarines. It's joke that Washington prohibit S Korea from building its own nuclear weapons and nuclear submarines to protect itself from N Korea and China which both are communists and armed with nuclear weapons. Whatever the US can build, S Korea can build it too with its own R&D having strong civilian tech sectors.

Does anyone know what naming convention will the U.S. Army use for the V-280? Any chance Bell will make a Cobrized version of the Bell V-280?

There is "ONE THING", THE Black Hawk can do, that this "NEW" V.T.O.L. craft (V280Valor) cannot do, is, "Fly on one engine"! And there is, "NO WAY", to remedy, solve or mitigate this problem. If the Black Hawk were to loose an engine, for any reason, i.e. mechanical failure, or getting shot-out, it can still fly, conversely, if the V280Valor, looses an engine, it's toast, full stop. Cheers to Ye Matey!
@Predator42ID
@Predator42ID 18 күн бұрын
If there is one thing you are wrong about it's that. The V-280 and the V-22 can fly on one engine since both are connected to each other so that if one fails the other can compensate.

If you want the "one thing" that these tiltrotors can't do that a classic rotor aircraft can: autorotate. Total engine failure in a Blackhawk still comes with the hope of a controlled landing, even if it's still a hard one. A tiltrotor in hover mode with no forward speed? forget it. You fall out of the sky.
@Predator42ID
@Predator42ID 18 күн бұрын
@@jadefalcon001 Cracks knuckles. Lady's and Gentlemen I give you the most overuse used term in the aviation media. Created by those who know nothing of what they are talking about but instead of being mean I'll be teaching. Allow me to explain. Auto rotation works by using rotors like a parachute this can be done with either helicopters or Tiltrotors. However in order for Auto rotation to work you need two things. Altitude of at least 100Feet and speed. Now according to pilots and engineers Auto rotation only works if all the parts like the gearbox, rotor shaft and even tail rotor are still functional. Loose those and your odds of survival drop. Now according to a US Naval aviator. Autor rotation has never once been used in combat by the US since it's use of helicopters. The reason being is said pilots often operate at high speed at an altitude of around 50FT or less to avoid radar. Also bullets, cannons, missiles, rockets. All these things tend to hit the airframe causing damage making Auto rotation a further problem as well as the larger the chopper the harder for said system to work in general. Now is Auto rotation train and used, yes, but pilots still call it a controlled crash. Hence why helicopters in general have a crash rate of 9.85. While Tiltrotors have a crash rate of 3.45 making tiltrotors more reliable and safer then even fixed wing planes which are at 5.3. Source USAF and USMC. Thank you and have a good Sunday.

If they go throu with this they only develop a fighter that is old news by the time they are done cause everybody else doing also a next gen fighter! I know this is a unpopular opinion, but i think at some point they give up und join either a US or the Tempest programm !

The new labour government has made strong statements that it is very much behind this project. Also, because of the international partnerships involved, I think it would be very hard to backout of with out a lot of damaging fallout. Britain needs to update the RAF, and buying American comes with strings attached. For all these reasons I very much hope to see the GCAP flying one day.

amca is not what most indians are expecting it to be. 60% of technology is imported from USA and Britian. The whole engine is not ours. You are basically improting the whole aircraft and assembling it in Bharat. Dosen't seem right way to do things. Look at China, Look at Turkey they are developing 6th and 5.5th gen aircrafts respectively from grounds up ie complete aircraft no importing no assembling. This is goal which india should also have. But some people in DRDO are not willing to work this hard. They are in their late 40s and 50s and just want to now PARTY CHILL VACATIONS and TRIPS. So this is the reality of our prestiged DRDO institution. Remeber why im criticising DRDO. This decade of 2025 to 2035 is the only and hte best shot that DRDO has got. It has already wasted most of 2014 to 2024 decade. Done nothing still relying on US for Tejas MK1 Engines. BHARAT WILL NEVER GET A SECOND CHANGE FOR DEVELOPING ITS DEFENCE SYSTEM. China is going to do something soon in next 50 years, either in south china seas or at our frontdoor ladakh. Then there is only fighting, no research or development will get any money from government. This is GOLDEN Time for DRDO to let go of its Systemical Faults and Greece its self up and start working at its best optimum levels.

My very uninformed arm chair admiral would love to see a Zumwalt escorted by Littoral combat ships, Burke destroyers, and Constitution frigates and expeditionary transport ship, for refueling. Just like the F-35 being the quarterbacks for drone wingmen. Zumwalt can be nexus of drone in the air, surface and underwater. The LCS and ETS would be the carriers for these drones. Also the ETS could be refueling stations for all of the drones. Have the LCS and ETS equipped with a naval version of Iron Fist and Trophy.
