i like your un-technical review because this is what I would have done with these lights to compare for my needs.

Hey did you ever confirm if the hybrid (daylight/tungsten only) also work with sidus link? It seems like they advertise that only the original prism works with it.

Great video! Been thinking of switching for the last few MONTHS and haven't decided yet... No gaming, only video creation and recording with OBS. A bit scared of switching but man... it's just like you said. I build myself my desktop PC (3080 ti, 5900x) but I'm just tired to solve problems, to have to deal with settings and fans ramping up for no good reason

Before I bought my Godox 600d (I am cheap), I was concerned that it was more light than I will ever need. Now that I have it, I think 600w is perfect. The ability to pump up the volume to nearly more than I need with a turn of a dial has completely changed how I shoot. I find myself using less lights overall and more reflectors. Setup time has dropped a ton. The flexibility is outstanding. I suppose I may have to just buy the Aputure 600D next time so I can be in the club. :D

be mindful of getting involved with the Apple Prostitutes. they will try to squeeze every cent out of you. Lemme explain : since 2016 they've been soldering the SSDs onto the mac motherboards making it impossible to repair by replacing or to upgrade. - they also overcharge 3x-4x per TeraByte of space : Apple 2TB SSD ---> 600-800$ (non replaceable) while Samsung 2TB 980PRO : 200$ :))) - When the SSD Fails.. and it will , they will also overcharge you for the repair , because guess what, if you need it replaced , the way they go about it is by replacing the whole motherboard which is an absolutely wasteful way to do it. Imagine replacing so many parts when you could've just replaced the SSD. But they want YOUR MONEY. - Iphone 14PRO (1000$-1600$) still comes with a shit lightning port (USB2.0) Speeds. (Guess how much money they make by licensing that dumb connector to 3rd parties that make cables and adapters and all that. (it was a good connector in 2013-2014 but USB-C came out in 2014. and it's 2022 and Apple still has (SHIT) lightning connector. May meteors fall on their HQ if they don't change their money hungry ways. May God save the worthy over there. I’ve been an iPhone user since 2011 and a macbook pro user since 2015. But i feel like i’m going to go back to windows with a nice lenovo legion 5i pro 😃. Can’t take apple s bullshit no more , no matter how shiny they make their whore products 😂 be very careful getting involved with the Apple Prostitute. They are out to get every last drop of your money. :)

If Macbooks were running on Intel or AMD Ryzen, I might switch. But M1 has some issues: -cannot run Windows software properly -not very good for gaming -eGPU boxes no longer work with M1 -RAM and SSD are not upgradeable/repairable

I have been a Windows user my whole life and still am! Yes, there's issues from time to time, however, I like the the freedom to choose and do what I want! Apple has an ecosystem that once your deeply in, there's no way out unless you start over again! Apple definietly has control over you because they are the only ones that manufacture their stuff! The amount of money they charge you on their systems just to upgrade from 8gb to 16gb ram or 256gb to 512gb ssd is astronomical and ridiculous! The reason their a trillion dollar company is because they literally make about 60% profit off everything they sell because of this! To each their own, I guess! Good Luck!

Regarding the charger situation, just charge your extra batteries ahead of time IN the light then they’re good to go when you get to set. Hot swap and go. Can’t recharge on set (though you COULD charge on breaks) but you can bring them charged.

Nice video 👍👍 My approach on this subject was a smallrig top cheese plate + lightweight quick release top handle in order to put the cam in a backpack easier (both combined are lighter than the original handle) and 15mm rod clamps on top (front and back) because this way when I need the V-mount extra power I can easily add it, without the need to carry bottom adapter plate all the time. Also the weight of the v-mount is not stressing the camera when holding it for the top handle. For monitor I’m using a lightweight hinge mounted on the cheese plate and smallhd focus 5 for better color reproduction larger size and better focus assists. I always have the original monitor with me, when I plan to use it’s touchscreen focus or if I want to use only internal c200 battery. This way the C200 becomes even more compact and lightweight then the original, and most importantly with lower center of gravity.

Try them outside on a sunny day. light your subject from 10' distance with your led and let us know it works or not. I like led lights but the ratio of light travel distance of HMI to led is still 3 to 1 so they are not a replacement for HMI yet but a very good tool to have. Manufactures don’t tell you this stuff because they want you to buy new things
