Regarding the charger situation, just charge your extra batteries ahead of time IN the light then they’re good to go when you get to set. Hot swap and go. Can’t recharge on set (though you COULD charge on breaks) but you can bring them charged.

These are the lights I have been wanting for a long time. I love that you can use an App to adjust the lighting considering the menu is on the front of the light and not on the backside. Great info Mike and thank you for links too. I look forward to seeing more, keep up the great work.

Hey did you ever confirm if the hybrid (daylight/tungsten only) also work with sidus link? It seems like they advertise that only the original prism works with it.

Why SGC branded and not Aputure, i have keeping an eye on these for a few months and still find them odd on many regards. I guess i’ll keep waiting a bit longer to invest into some RGB tubes.

With you on the menu placement, would buy right away if not for that. Hope by the time these have the Aputure branding, they work that out.

Andrew Lock from gaffer and gear made a strong argument for the front placement of the menu. A lot of the times tube lights are mounted up against a wall or on a ceiling so if you need to change settings you have to unmount, turn the tube around, change settings and remount. This way you save time changing settings.
